For loading UK Sales & Lettings properties the following documents are required and need to be followed closely:


Once a file is ready for testing:-

  • Please contact the ADF Team at adfteam@rightmove.co.uk along with the completed Provider Contact Details form to book in a testing slot.
  • We expect the following calls to be fully tested and available:
    • Send property
    • Remove property
    • Get branch property list

Overseas Sales

For loading Overseas Sales properties the following documents are required and need to be followed closely:

New Homes

For New Homes Developers properties the following documents are required and need to be followed closely:


Once a file is ready for testing:-

  • The test file, in an .XML format, along with the completed Provider Contact Details form, which should be emailed to adfteam@rightmove.co.uk
  • Please include any relevant media

Testing Process

The testing process looks something like this:

UK Sales, Lettings and Overseas Sales Real Time Feed

  • Provider (hereafter 'you') receive specification and schema documentation
  • You request a date for the commencement of testing, and provide the ADF Team (hereafter 'we' or 'us') with a mobile telephone number for provision of your authentication passwords via SMS, along with your preferred keystore format
  • We provide you with a test pack and keystore containing your cryptographic authentication details via email, and your password via SMS 1-2 working days before the commencement of your scheduled testing
  • You test the solution on our test environment
  • Once testing is completed to a satisfactory standard for all parties, you request live details
  • We provide live keystore, passwords & network details via email and SMS (as outlined above)
  • You send data to the live environment, once received and processed, the data shall be displayed on the LIVE website

New Homes

  • The Provider (hereafter 'you') acquire a copy of the required Datafeed Specification and Provider Contacts Form
  • You send a test file to adfteam@rightmove.co.uk for testing, with live property data in it (note - no 'empty' test data). Also send a completed Provider Contacts Form
  • The ADF Team (hereafter 'we' or 'us') test the file for any errors, and provide feedback to you
  • You make any necessary adjustments to the file and resend the file to us for further testing
  • The 2 points above shall continue until a functional file structure is achieved
  • We will send you the URL to our test site allowing you to view the test properties that have been uploaded, whilst organising you with a Rightmove FTP account
  • We will send you the Username and Password for your unique Rightmove FTP server account, to where all property data should be loaded
  • You will complete final tests via FTP of full property data, please notify us so that we can arrange to process the data and provide final test listings
  • Once testing is completed, you must confirm that the Agent is happy with how the properties are to be displayed and that the Agent has all of their properties loaded on to the relevant software/website, in order for them to be uploaded
  • Once confirmed, you will upload all data by FTP and notify us once complete so we can arrange for the data to be processed
  • Once processed, the data shall be displayed on the LIVE website

For NEW Rightmove members, data will only appear live on Rightmove.co.uk if the Agent's branch is visible and has received a GO LIVE call from the Rightmove Customer Service Team.
