The site is located to the south of Calne just off Stockley Lane which provides direct access to the A4 the principal highway in Wiltshire connecting Calne with Marlborough (10 miles) and Chippenham (7 miles). A new housing development of 125 homes will be constructed by Redrow immediately to the north and an area of informal open space is planned immediately to the west of the site. The access road from Stockley Lane that is to serve both the site and the new homes is under construction. Commencement of the new homes is currently scheduled for June 2015 and completion of the housing development is planned for April 2018.
