Siting to the edge of a well established residential area, the site is within walking distance of Bridgend post office and Spar, with other shops and services located in Linlithgow, Livingston and Edinburgh, including the Almondvale and Gyle shopping centres.

Bridgend primary school is within walking distance to the south east, with academy schools in Linlithgow, Broxburn and Livingston.
