Chagford is one of the four old Stannary Towns in Devon where tin is thought to have been assayed since medieval times. Situated on the eastern edge of Dartmoor in a particularly beautiful stretch of the Teign Valley, the town is located off the A382 only 4 miles from the trunk road, giving easy access to Exeter- approximately 19 miles away. With Dartmoor National Park on the doorstep, the town is a very popular destination for tourists throughout the year. The Chagford Inn is popular Inn with an attractive frontage to the road. The front has been colour washed, offset by flower baskets with a coaching arch leading through to the courtyard beer garden. The Inn was originally known as The Bakers Arms and subsequently The Bullers Arms, is now The Chagford Inn. The Inn is substantially built, largely of stone under a slate roof. BUSINESS 
The Chagford Inn is very well established traditional public house situated in the lovely moorland town of Chagford. The business has a strong food trade which is heavily influenced by the local produce from Dartmoor and nearby farms. Much of the baking and meat preparation is done in house including their own bacon, coppa, bresaola, salt beef, pastrami and serrano ham. The kitchen is always stocked with local beef, lamb and game with fish brought in daily from the Devon coast. The Chagford Inn has been awarded a Gold Certificate by Taste of the West for 2016 and 2017. The property was completely renovated under our client's occupation and is now a beautifully presented inn which attracts great reviews and accolades. The 3 letting rooms are popular all year round and are a great addition to the business with a positive 'knock on' effect to the food and drink trade. Tariffs range from £70 - £95 per night per room on a B&B basis.

BUSINESS CONTINUED 
The front bar has a great pub feel with an informal atmosphere which lends itself to both drinking and dining. Barista style coffee and teas are served throughout the day with cakes and brioche baked daily. The separate dining room is popular for private parties and functions. The Chagford Inn is very much at the heart of the community supporting local groups and sponsoring two local football teams. The Inn exhibits a range of local artists' work which is all for sale and is rotated on a regular basis. The 10% commission that the Chagford Inn collects goes to a local charity. For January and February the property is open from 12 noon to 3:30pm each day and 6pm to 11pm Monday to Saturdays and 6:30pm to 10pm on Sundays. However from March the pub reverts to all day opening every day. Sunday lunch is particularly popular and the pub is dog friendly.
