Burgess Hill is a thriving community, set in the gently rolling countryside of West Sussex. For those who commute, Burgess Hill station offfers direct services to Brighton (15mins), and London Bridge and London Victoria (less than an hour). Gatwick Airport is also just 15miles away, and the town has good access to the motorway network via the A23, bringing Heathrow within easy reach.
Haywards Heath is four miles to the north, and Brighton, with all its great seaside attractions, is just eleven miles to the south. Burgess Hill has views of the South Downs and the High Weald, yet complements this stunning countryside with excellent modern facilities – from top-end supermarkets such as Waitrose, quirky independent stores, and many other shops and restaurants in the main thoroughfare of Church Road and the pedestrianised Church Walk. There is a daily indoor market at the Market Place Shopping Centre, an outdoor market twice a week in the Martlets Shopping Centre, as well as themed markets that visit the town every year. Other attractions include a 300-seat theatre, a library and the Triangle Leisure Centre, which boasts a competition pool, Aztec fun pools and outdoor Lido. The town has an excellent range of other sports facilities, including cycle trails, a skate park and tennis courts.
