Transport links
Downham Market offers an hourly rail service to London - Kings Cross. From Thetford a similar service is available to Norwich and to London Liverpool Street or Kings Cross via Ely and Cambridge.
Bus services link Mundford with Thetford, Downham Market, and the nearby larger towns of Bury St Edmunds and Kings Lynn. National Express Coaches operate a daily service to London Victoria Coach Park, the pick up point is just outside the village. A Community Car Service scheme also operates in the village.
Mundford is situated at the northern edge of Thetford Forest, the largest lowland pine forest in England. The village is easily located by road at the intersection of the A1065 and A134 eight miles northwest of Thetford. Good road links provide easy access to London via the A11, the Norfolk coast, and the whole of East Anglia.

Nearby practices in Brandon (4 miles) and Feltwell (8 miles) provide healthcare for Mundford. The Brandon practice also holds a surgery twice a week in the Village Hall. Hospitals that serve the area are at Bury St Edmunds and Kings Lynn. Dentists, Opticians, Chiropodists etc. can all be found in Thetford. Veterinary services can also be found in Thetford.
Driving directions
Leave the A14 at Junction 38 and continue on the A11 towards Thetford/Norwich. At the Fiveways roundabout take the A1065 signposted Swaffham. Continue into Brandon town centre turning left at the second set of traffic lights. Continue over the level crossing bearing right, and on reaching the roundabout at Mundford take the 2nd exit still signposted A1065 Swaffham. Take the 3rd left into Crown Road, and an immediate right into Malsters Close. Our development is at the end of Malsters Close.
