Secondary Schools
Latymer Upper School is an independent, co-educational day school for boys and girls aged of 7-18. Founded in 1624 by Edward Latymer, the Hammersmith school is one of the largest in London, offering 40 academic courses. The school’s 2010 GCSE exam results showed that 52% of grades were at A* grade and 86% were at grades A*/A.
St Paul’s School is an independent boys’ school for ages 13-18 and ranks amongst the top schools in the UK. St Paul’s has a strong academic tradition to which all their staff are committed and celebrated 500 years in 2009.
St Paul’s Girls School is a private girls’ school for ages 11-18. The school is a socially inclusive community of 700 girls and more than 75 staff that fosters academic attainment and is consistently amongst the top schools in the UK. Transport links
West 3 benefits from excellent transport links to the City, West End and East London, with a choice of seven underground stations all within walking distance, namely East Acton, Turnham Green, Chiswick Park, Stamford Brook, Shepherd’s Bush, White City and Wood Lane. All of these tube stations are located within 1.5 miles radius of Napier at West 3, providing access to the Central, District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines.
The nearest railway station is Acton Central, which is less than a mile from Napier at West 3. The station has a regular service westbound to Richmond which takes only 15 minutes and eastbound towards Stratford (48 minutes) on the North London Line. When the Crossrail service opens in 2017, the service will include a stop in Acton and provide further destinations that are accessible by train.
London Heathrow is only 10 miles from Napier at West 3. Heathrow handles over 67 million passengers each year and offers a choice of over 200 domestic, European and international destinations.
London City Airport is 15 miles from Napier at West 3. It is a single runway airport for short take off and landing, serving 30 destinations with international connections to hundreds more.
Transport to the City, the West End, and East London could not be more convenient from Napier at West 3. The M4, M1 and M25 are located only two, six and eight miles away respectively for easy access to the rest of the UK and Heathrow Airport.
