Local Shopping

Located in the Hampton area on the outskirts of Evesham, The Hamptons is a wonderful place to put down roots. The old riverside market town of Evesham is situated in the centre of the famous horticultural Vale of Evesham, offering some of the prettiest countryside in the country - from the tranquil banks of the River Avon to the undulating hills and peaceful slopes of The Cotswolds. With the River Avon offering popular recreational areas providing everything from fishing to boating, there is something for everyone.

A Market Town Full of Life Complemented by the Countryside

Founded around an 8th Century abbey, Evesham is a town that has a rich heritage, being part of a great forest and home to just a few dwellings, churches and the river Avon at its beginning. Now, it is a thriving town that has retained its character but offers an arts centre, cinema, plenty of places to eat, drink and shop and a rich offering of events and things to do. From guided town walks, to Medieval festivals and homely pubs to independent boutiques, it is a unique place to live. Local amenities are plentiful, with a Post Office, Tesco supermarket and doctors' and dental surgeries all nearby.

In Spring1 there are dazzling displays of blossom from the many acres of plum and apple trees, and the countryside views are unrivalled. The River Avon is a major attraction, with recreational areas offering fishing, walking and boating. From June to September, the Victorian bandstand in Abbey Park is host to Sunday afternoon music - the perfect setting for enjoying a lazy Summer afternoon.

Education

Education for all ages

For families with children, there is an excellent selection of highly rated schools in the area. Ranging from Swan Lane and St Andrew's CofE which were both rated 'Good' by Ofsted, to Bengeworth which received an 'Outstanding' rating. Moving up in years, Ofsted gave St Egwin's CofE middle school and Prince Henry's High an 'Outstanding' rating, with Evesham High rated 'Good' - you couldn't be more spoilt for choice with superb schooling for your young and younger ones. Worcestershire also has a good choice of private schools, including Bromsgrove School, Malvern College and The King’s School, all of which are co-educational and have boarding and day students.

When it's time for the kids to leave school and take their next steps in education, South Worcestershire College offers a great range of subjects, with emphasis on NVQ and BTEC and practical vocational courses for getting really hands on.

So whatever their age, your children's educational needs are brilliantly catered for.
