As part of the Thames Gateway, Ruxton Square is in a regeneration area set to become a future property hotspot. The new Rochester Riverside area features a hotel with conference facilities, homes, a school, medical centre, businesses and shops.
Rochester’s street market is held on Fridays and Saturdays and there’s a Farmer’s Market on the third Sunday of every month.
If you’re heading out for a drink or meal, there’s a choice of restaurants, traditional pubs, wine bars, sports bars or gastro pubs serving an equally wide choice of cuisine from traditional English to Italian, Indian, Chinese or Thai.
For the sporting, The Stirling Centre on Maidstone Road offers badminton, basketball, football, tennis, gym and fitness classes, whilst the Hundred of Hoo Leisure Centre has a swimming pool, gym, squash courts and a crèche. For those who like to get out and about, the Heron Trail cycle route takes in forts, castles and nature reserves whilst the Northwood Hill walk passes through the bluebell woods. There’s sailing on the Medway and golf at the Deangate Ridge complex which has an 18-hole public pay and play course along with a clubhouse, bar, restaurant, fitness studio, football pitches, tennis courts and a running centre.
For evenings out, Rochester is home to a multiscreen cinema, a theatre and two art galleries, whilst Chatham has two theatres: the Brook Theatre and the Central Theatre.

Transport links
Transport links are good – London is only about 30 miles away and the Maidstone Road provides links to the A2 and M2 and, from there, to the M20, M25, M26 and the Kent coast.
Rochester railway station is on the Chatham mainline providing a service to London Victoria via the Medway Towns and Bromley South, to London Charing Cross via Dartford and Blackheath and to Gillingham, Faversham, Canterbury, Ramsgate and Margate. The journey time to London Victoria is approximately 45 minutes.
Ebbsfleet International Station, about 20 minutes’ drive away, provides a high-speed link with London St Pancras as well as services to mainland Europe.

-Take the A2 exit towards Rochester
-At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Watling Street/A2
-Continue to follow the A2 for approximately 2.7 miles
