Living in Evesham you’ll have plenty of ways to fill your leisure hours. A visit to the National Trust owned Hidcote Manor Gardens is a must. Aztec Watersports offers windsurfing, sailing and canoeing whilst Evesham Country Park provides lovely country walks, a shopping courtyard with a large garden centre and wildlife centre. The Domestic Fowl Trust is a premier centre for the conservation of both rare and traditional breeds of farm animals, and makes a great day out for all the family. At the Leisure Centre on Davies Road there’s a swimming pool, squash and badminton courts, a fully equipped gym, and permits are available for fishing in the riverside meadows. Evesham Arts Centre is the venue for theatre, music and cinema and the Abbey Park has a new Wet Water Park that children absolutely love.

Evesham is a great place to shop with a selection of high street names and independent stores, many within the newly refurbished Riverside Shopping Centre. Locally grown fruit and vegetables are a major attraction especially at the Saturday Charter Market, and there’s a good selection of supermarkets within the town. Evesham Country Park is a popular draw, with courtyard shops, an extensive garden centre and Millets Farm Shop – not to mention the Ark Animal Sanctuary.

Driving directions

From the M5 junction 9 take the exit onto the A46 (signposted Evesham). Continue to follow the A46 (Evesham) for approximately 10 miles and over two roundabouts.  At the third roundabout take the second exit continuing on the A46 (signposted Stratford, Birmingham, Worcester, Oxford.) Continue for around 1.5 miles and follow signs for Stratford, Birmingham, Worcester to the roundabout for the B4035.  Take the first exit onto the B4035 Badsey Road (signposted Evesham) and after some 400 yards you'll find Lavender Fields on your left hand side.
