    Dunstable

    The oldest charter town in Bedfordshire, Dunstable is currently home to approximately 43,000 residents. The earliest recorded residents of Dunstable lived on the Downs, on hills that originated at the same time as the Himalayas.

    Dunstable is fiercely proud of its rich heritage, but whilst it may be steeped in history it is very much a town in the present, making it a thriving and vibrant place to live and work.

    The town has a bright future ahead of it. The Grove Theatre, which opened in 2007, provides Dunstable with a striking cultural heart, with its 780-seat purpose-built arts and entertainment centre, while Dunstable's accompanying bars and restaurants overlooking the beautiful re-landscaped Grove House Gardens are buzzing and diverse venues to eat, meet and greet.

    Priory House Heritage and Tourist Information Centre also offers a full programme of entertainment and exhibitions as well as an insight into Dunstable's amazing past.

    Anyone thinking of moving to Dunstable knows that they are within easy access to the M1 and London, and recently the Busway to Luton has made access to some of the major cities and towns by train a lot easier. There are some spectacular walks and views from the Downs as well as the Gateway Centre, from which you can sit and watch the gliders and hang gilders and enjoy a lovely hot drink, especially welcome on cold winter days, and sample some of the local produce.
