      Jackie acted with commendable dispatch
      I own a substantial property in the center of Bridgend comprising commercial space at ground floor and residential units above. Mrs Jackie Lock has let and managed the residential element for many years. Over the last few years the residential element has been let a social housing association Ty Gwalia. Not withstanding the terms of their lease they twice sub- let the property to tenants who were dealing (possibly among other things) in drugs. The property became somewhat threatening. Notwithstanding this, Jackie continued her periodic inspections and liaised with Ty Gwalia. Ultimately the decision was taken to terminate the lease. This was actioned in Jackie's absence. Upon her return she took the trouble to read through the notice to discover that it had been incorrectly served. She acted immediately to re-serve it costing a month to termination but far better than having the notice challenged by the tenant. During 2017, when I was abroad there was vandalism resulting in water ingress to part of the commercial element. Although not part of her brief, in my absence Jackie acted with commendable dispatch using her contacts to instigate remedial works in mitigation. Throughout the years that I known Jackie I have found her to be consistently contactable, highly knowledgeable and professional throughout and would have no hesitation in recommending her.

I want to bring to your attention how pleased I am with service received from Jackie Lock and her team in Bridgend, particularly during 2017. The service begins whenever contacting the Bridgend branch with a professional, polite and cherie greeting followed by immediate action to deal with the query. I try to keep the house I offer for rent to a standard which I would want to occupy. Jackie always seeks my views about repairs that need action which means I feel involved, and always has a recommendation of proposed action and suitable Trades person to be considered for the work. Emergencies I feel illustrate our relationship of dealing with the repair and a confidence that common sense will be supported. A particular instance last year showed how capable she is when a client complained to the council about the condition of the property. The complaint gave Jackie the opportunity to show her knowledge and responsibilities in dealing with the council in a new area of Property Letting Law. Her responses and actions in my view totally defused the situation by organising a level of acceptable compliance with the Council Officer.
