    At Campbells we realise it is a challenge to find a quality home to rent with so many people chasing each property.

    We only rent and manage quality homes so it is fair to say they are let very quickly.

    So may we make a suggestion?

    If you have built a rapport with one of the guys in our team you are more likely to be tipped off of new instructions coming our way.

    The majority of our properties will be displayed on this microsite but a lot are let at the moment we get an instruction - it's just the way it is.

    Now we do not discriminate either.

    We know a lot of managing agents have a blanket policy that they do not take pets or DSS, for example - we find this offensive as there are often perfectly great tenants who never let us down.

    Now it is fair to say we are going to ask you a lot of personal questions but we are doing no more than checking that you are suitable for our quality landlord clients.

    We do ask that you abide by our 3 simple 'house rules'.

    We are guided by landlords too but if you are a good tenant, you pay your rent on time, you look after your lovely home and you be a good neighbour then why should we be concerned?

    Having worked alongside Paul Campbell since 1994 (albeit with a short break) I work both on and within the many different areas of this exciting property business.

    Today, my main focus is within the rental department and the development of our Associate programme.

    I have a passion for providing a good customer experience to all of our landlords and tenants and take pride in a job well done.

    We look after our landlord's properties like they are our own and love nothing more than matching good-quality tenants to good-quality properties.

    Maintenance issues can sometimes be challenging but I'd like to think that we keep our landlords and tenants happy by resolving any matters quickly and efficiently.

    Assisting with our property refurbishments is also great fun.

    Our Associate Franchise Scheme has gone from strength to strength - passing on our years of knowledge and expertise - we have a great team and more new Associates around the country coming on board.

    Putting systems in place to ensure that everything runs smoothly is right up my street.

    I first started working as a Daventry Letting Agent for Campbells in the rental department in 2007 and continued to work in the business for a few years before leaving to work for the NHS and qualifying as a dental nurse.

    Since having my daughter I have returned to the rental team and help to support the smooth running of the department whether it be completing new tenant applications, arranging for maintenance issues to be attended to, or carrying out property inspections.As a tenant myself I understand the importance of communication and giving an efficient service to ensure a happy customer experience.

    Campbells was established in May 1989 so we have been around a while, gaining experience and respect along the way. 

    It's fair to say we all have some stories to tell.

    In 2009, when some sellers and some landlords were in real trouble, I published my first book entitled 'You Can Sell Your House... Guaranteed'

    Anyone interested in selling or indeed renting a property should grab a copy of this book - you will find a few tips in there that will definitely help when you have to make a few choice decisions.

    You will also find me regularly commenting on BBC Radio too. Campbells is also featured in the BBC programme 'To Buy or Not to Buy' and the Channel 4 property programme 'love it or list it'. 

    Nowadays, I spend most of my time coaching sellers, buyers and particularly investors and mentoring the associates in our team as we grow and generally having fun.

    I've always had a particular interest in property, construction and the customer experience when dealing with estate agents and property managers.

    I am currently studying Building Surveying at University and thoroughly enjoy learning the ins and outs of property construction; how everything works.

      At first I was a bit wary...
      At first I was a bit wary as whilst I was not overall impressed with my previous agent, I knew nothing about Campbells. 

      However, I was quickly put at ease as Paul Campbell and Carla Field came around to visit and introduce themselves - they also checked to see if I had any outstanding faults with the property etc.

      Since I had moved into the property I had had an ongoing problem with a leak from the ceiling in the main bedroom that the previous agency seemed in no rush to find where it was coming from, or in repairing it. 

      Only two days after the initial visit from Carla & Paul, workmen were sent round and they stayed until the problem was found (a tiny hole in the roof) and repaired.

      I have found renting with Campbells a stress free experience where problems are dealt with in an efficient and friendly manner.

      It is also nice that you are only dealing with one main person - Carla - as I did find that with the previous agency every time I phoned up I was constantly speaking to a different person and found that messages did not always get passed on and therefore I was quite often having to phone, and phone again.

      Prior to joining Campbells, I worked in the estate agency industry for over fifteen years as a Mortgage Advisor and Financial Advisor . 

      I initially started with the Campbells team as their Whole of Market Mortgage Advisor.

      In March 2009 I chose to become an Associate. For me it felt like a natural progression as I already had such an extensive knowledge of the property industry. Whilst I may have switched roles from financing the sale to generating the sale, my background in mortgages has proved to be a great asset. 

      Not only can I help you with your property questions but I can point you in the right direction for your financial ones, too. 

      At Campbells, I am responsible for my own business with the backup of a loyal, close-knit team of other associates. 

      I may be working for myself but I'm certainly never working by myself.

      As an Associate, I personally take care of the sale, rent and purchase of properties in Daventry - I have the additional responsibility of looking after properties in the Ashby Fields area.

      Mark Heycock - Braunston Village Property Expert 
      I joined the Campbell's team in June 2006 after serving 27 years in the British Army with a front-line infantry regiment - being bounced around the world at short notice was interesting, exciting and very often an exhilarating way to spend the younger years of my life.

      After reaching the rank of Warrant officer class 1 and spending many years in various trouble spots worldwide, I decided at the age of 43 it was time grow up and start working towards a new career. 

      Part of my initial thought whilst working out my escape plan from the military was to sell the small buy-to-let flat I had bought from Campbells in 2003 to raise the deposit for a bigger property to live in with my family. Fortunately, when I called into the office, I spoke to Paul Campbell and after explaining my 'bigger picture' Paul suggested that I popped into the office to see him. 

      After shadowing Paul within the business for a week, my decision was made - I wanted to get involved in this exciting industry.To strengthen my knowledge within the estate agency business I completed and passed the National Association of Estate Agency technical award in residential sales.

      Within three months of my first meeting with Paul I was the first associate to join the new Campbell's franchise model - I can't believe how time flies.Presently, my main concentration is valuing and listing properties both For Sale and To Let - I have learnt over the years the best ways to market a property is to get the very best price within your agreed time.

      I have a particular interest in properties in Braunston and the Timken and Lang farm areas of Daventry in Northamptonshire. However, I have dealt with the sale of many family houses as you will see below. Don't forget we sell houses all over England so don't hesitate to ask my advice.I am a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor too so if you have any questions on EPC's, please do not hesitate to ask.

      Having worked with Rugby estate agents for many years, I was introduced to Paul Campbell by a mutual friend (who is also a colleague at Campbells) on a skiing trip.  We each soon realised that we had a mutual passion for the property industry and a very similar way of doing business. It didn't take much to convince me to join the team. 

       I've been at Campbells since September 2013 and, despite working in the estate agency business since 1989, I've got to say this is the friendliest, most honest and hard-working company of estate agents I have ever worked with.

       I even had a client pay me MORE money than the fee I had agreed to because they were so happy with my efforts. I bet there are few estate agents out there that could tell you that!

       Over the years I have found it really hard to understand why people would put more effort into selling a second-hand car than they would do their house. With a car they'd clean and polish it inside and out, maybe even black wall the tyres all in order to make it look it's best to get the highest amount of money for it. 

       Our homes are generally our most valuable assets - yet, and in spite of all the 'housey programmes' on TV these days, a lot of people still take the view that the buying public should 'take us as you find us'. 

      Some clients simply don't recognise that certain aspects of their property could be off-putting. To be fair to them, many agents won't point these issues out either. Too afraid of offending I guess, or too keen to just get the instruction quickly. In my view, this isn't offering the best advice. 

      I would never want to offend a client, but there are ways of discussing this subject tactfully. 

       The presentation of your home can cost you, or make you thousands of pounds. It's as simple as that! 

      But before you think it's going to cost you a fortune to polish your place up, I'm talking about the stuff that doesn't cost anything: 

      Putting in a bit of effort, de-cluttering, tidying, cleaning and maybe rearranging some furniture, etc. 

      Sure, you can redecorate, but you'd be surprised what you can achieve with a few hours' worth of effort. 

      I'd be happy to pop round if you want to know more, it's all part of the service if you sell your home through me. After all, it is also in my interest to get you a speedy sale and the best price. 

      Once I have established exactly what you wish to achieve, I will then build you the most compelling 'marketing copy' and take the very best pictures of your property and the location. Then I will use our extensive worldwide internet advertising, as well as our local knowledge to find you a buyer or tenant.

It seems an awfully long time ago since I bought my first property in 1986 and I have certainly experienced the ups and downs of selling and buying in a changing market place.         I was prompted to use Campbells as a 'buying agent' after seeing a Facebook Advert/Post via a friend.

        It was so nice to speak to an estate agent that listened to you rather than just think of their personal targets and commission bonus at the end of the month.

        I predominately dealt with Nicky Cartwright in the Yateley branch but all of the staff in all of the offices were all really kind, helpful and reassuring thought out the process.

        I decided to use Campbells as I was fed up and disheartened with the estate agents in the local area. It was refreshing to have someone working with you that goes the extra mile to make everything as easy as possible. Nothing ever was a problem for Nicky and no question was too big or small.

        Nicky arranged a home buyers survey to be completed for me, as with the age of the property Nicky felt there may be underlying issues. 

        After some investigation Nicky found that the property had previously been withdrawn from the market and had recently had some renovation work carried out for re-marketing purposes. 

        It was hard to ascertain any issues as to onlookers all was fine.

        Good job I did have Nicky as my agent as the agent I was buying from was pushing for me to just have a basic survey on the property which wouldn't have shown any problems up. 

        On reviewing the survey we did put in a reduced offer reflecting the amount of work that would need to be done. 

        However, in the end the seller refused to budge on this so we pulled out and I believe this property is still available to buy some many months later. Nicky then got back on the case and found me a perfect house. We were looking around the property the day it came onto the market. 

        We then went back the next day to have a second viewing and put an offer in.

        We did have a little bit of competition from other buyers but I'm pleased to say with Nicky negotiating on my behalf, we got our offer accepted and below asking price which actually covered the cost of my 'Buyers Agent' fees.

        At the end of the day nothing is free in life and you get what you pay for. 

        However, when you are about to buy your first house in my case, you want to make sure you are making the right decisions along the way and in the grand scheme of what you are buying Campbells was the most value for money in the whole process.

        The whole transaction has gone very smoothly and is due to complete shortly. 

        Even the solicitors that Campbells put me in touch with have really worked hard and always have my best interests at heart.

        Nicky worked so hard and persevered with everything thrown at her. I can't thank her enough for what she has done for me. It is a lovely little house and without any major work to do either. 

        Most importantly Nicky saved me tens of thousands of pounds by making sure I had the correct survey done on the previous property.

        I can't recommend Campbells enough. When buying something as expensive as a house, you need someone you can trust and who had your best interests at heart to get what you need and deal with things you hadn't even thought of.
