    Phil Coady - Managing Director

I was only 17 when I started my career in this business working for a small independent estate agents in West Hampstead, travelling every day from my family home in Orpington. It was a trainee post where you learn on the job and except from becoming a master tea maker I knew this was a job that was varied and rewarding. It was a year later when a position closer to home became available with Jacksons estate agents in Bromley who later were bought out by Halifax and it was here the reward of winning best seller awards month in month out that I realised this was not only a job I enjoyed, I was really quite good at it. Recession hit the UK for the first time in my working life in 1989 and everything changed but every cloud has a silver lining and the idea of starting up my own business began forming in my head and against the will of my family at the tender age of 21 I started my own business.

Many years later married with four children I still enjoy the challenges of the job as much as I did on that very first day and older and some would say wiser this business has provided for me and my staff and it is my plan it will do so for many years to come. When I am not working time with the family fills every minute yet I still found time recently to be The President of the Bromley Rotary Club, am currently the mini chairman of rugby at Bromley RFC and keep fit running with my two dogs and do Muay Thai kick boxing twice a week, although nowadays and at my age it hurts just a little bit too much.

When I started working with Phil back in 1991 I remember being quite nervous to be working for such a young employer but quickly found that the family atmosphere here made it very comfortable to fit in and for a new company everyone felt very secure in the job. I have done practically every job here from lettings negotiator to senior property manager and there can't be many jobs where you can honestly say every day is different. Meeting new people has been the most enjoyable part of the job and many of the hundreds of customers I have met I now fondly refer to as friends, it's probably the reason I have stayed here so long! My spare time is taken up with my family and "Bullseye" the most beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier and as often as I am able visiting my granddaughter Harley who lives in Edinburgh.

I have worked in agency since I left school at 16 and before I was head hunted by Phil I had already worked for a large national chain of estate agents and two local, well respected independent estate agents in Bromley. Since 2006 I have experienced the difference working in a company where everything is more "hands on" and everyone supports each other and that's reassuring to know. As the sales director I am responsible for running the residential sales department from the valuation stage right through to dealing with some of the tricky issues that have to be overcome during the sales process and working here every day is different which keeps you interested. My two sons take up all my spare time and we enjoy riding motocross together but my true passion lies in carp fishing and I enjoy nothing more than sitting by a lake with my two little boys.

I came with over 20 years sales and property experience and was able to use these skills to contribute to my new role of Property Manager. I was first introduced to Phil eight years ago through my husband John at The Rotary Club of Bromley when John was President of the club. We got on very well and it was some four years later that I mentioned to Phil I was keen to get back into the work place after a period of retirement. This has turned out to be a really enjoyable and fun experience and the job keeps changing ensuring I remain interested and keen. The landlords are quite longstanding here and over time I have made some good friends that I hope to cherish and when not working I thoroughly enjoy playing tennis at my club and enjoy playing Bridge.

*Guide Price: An indication of a seller's minimum expectation at auction and given as a “Guide Price” or a range of “Guide Prices”. This is not necessarily the figure a property will sell for and is subject to change prior to the auction.

Reserve Price: Each auction property will be subject to a “Reserve Price” below which the property cannot be sold at auction. Normally the “Reserve Price” will be set within the range of “Guide Prices” or no more than 10% above a single “Guide Price.”

Auction Fees: The purchase of this property may include associated fees not listed here, as it is to be sold via auction. To find out more about the fees associated with this property please call Coady Phillips, Beckenham on 0208 658 1111.
