paragraphLetting a property in Hillsborough
Hillsborough is a well known suburb of Sheffield that lies to the North West of the city and has its own unique character, in fact bags of character.
The area was originally built up to provide housing for workers as Sheffield industry grew, hence it is largely made up of terraced housing with the additions of different housing types built in small developments over the subsequent years and plenty of houses with lots of character.
The main road through Hillsborough is really packed full of character with a great mixture of local independent and traditional businesses. Lots of other traditional businesses and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars. Access to Sheffield City Centre is easy as the Sheffield Supertram connects straight from the heart of the city direct in to Hillsborough and beyond to Malin Bridge.
It was good to see that although Hillsborough is a well populated area of the city, there is still lots of green and Hillsborough Park provided a great outdoor area for me to stretch my little legs and do what we need to do, and the open countryside of the Rivelin Valley and the Peak District beyond are really close by.
Hillsborough houses lots of the cities well known facilities such as Owlerton Park Stadium, Hillsborough Barracks, and of course Hillsborough is the home of Sheffield Wednesday, it seemed to be a very popular area with lots to do and plenty of local facilities.
