3 ways to place your bid

    There is no need to be nervous about buying at auction, it's easier than you may think. Our experienced auctioneer will conduct the sale at a pace where newcomers will feel comfortable, he will recognise when you are making a real bid and our friendly, experienced staff are always on hand to help.

    1. Bid In Person

    When you arrive at the auction we will provide you with a copy of the sale catalogue if you require one and our update sheet. This will inform you of any amendments, withdrawals or last minute sales.

    If you feel you need guidance during the auction, just let us know and a member of our team can sit alongside you.

    2. Bid By Proxy

    If you cannot attend the auction you can authorise Cumbrian Properties to bid on your behalf up to your maximum price. All you need to do is fill in a proxy bidding for, this will allow us to act for you.

    3. Bid By Telephone

    Another way to bid if you cannot attend the auction is via the telephone. You will need to make arrangements for this service prior to the auction. Then on the day a member of our team will call you shortly before the property is being auctionedand relay the auctioneers words to you. You can then instruct our team member to place a bid on your behalf.
