    We've seen a really busy start to lettings market so far in 2017. Curchods have agreed a record number of lets in January and February so far. The main activity thus far has been on flats, executive apartments and affordable houses. However this is starting to shift and we can certainly see signs that the spring/summer market is on the way with a demand for middle market and upper end stock.

    We are starting to get more enquiries for family homes within the catchment of many of the reputable schools Elmbridge has to offer and have also had an influx of corporate searches coming through from some of the Relocation Agents we work very closely with who act on behalf of a lot of big blue chip companies.

    The general feel is very positive and we look forward to securing many more tenants.

    Property Market Update:  Weybridge Spring 2017

      The housing market in Weybridge has started well in 2017.   As a company, on the whole Curchods currently have a record high number of properties on the market to buy and let for the period of the last 12 months. The market is showing very positive signs for a strong property market for the rest of the year. At Curchods we have had a number of cases of multiple buyers competing for properties and in one case the asking price was exceeded by over £100,000!

      The local market is being fuelled by a steady flow of buyers moving into the area, but recently we have seen a very strong trend for up-sizing within the town. I believe this is a great endorsement of what a great town Weybridge is for so many people at many different points in their lives. We've seen a lot of buyer interest around £600,000 to £850,000 for town properties particularly those with character features. Along with continued interest in the higher price ranges from £1.5m to £3m.

      The Spring is traditionally a busy time of year for people looking to move home, but there is such unusually high buyer and seller activity so far this year, it feels like we are witnessing the start of 'spring' already.

      If you are thinking of moving, now is a great time to take action - one must also not forget that mortgage interest rates are at historic all-time lows, meaning you might be pleasantly surprised at how affordable your dream home is right now.
