nothing to chance...As the Lettings business grew there was clearly a need for some more top level experience and expertise but this time David went for someone who had already built a business similar to the one he wanted. He went looking for someone with a 'leave nothing to chance' attitude and was delighted, and very lucky, to find Victoria. She has brought a new view on things and is always striving to find ways to improve what the team do and how the clients are looked after.

If there is a particular service, requirement or indeed concern you have then simply tell us and we will do everything to exceed your expectations and allay any fears... this is supposed to be an exciting experience and we have not succeeded unless we make you feel that way about it.

    BUYING...what to know
    • paragraph

The things to remember are quite simple, why are you moving and what is important to you in your new home? We never forget these points and it helps us understand the best way to advise you as an individual. For us it's not about selling a buyer a property it's about helping you find a home, there's a big difference. Because of this different attitude we often have clients come to us asking for advice on purchases they are making through other agents and we are always happy to help - not normal we know but it's all part of how we believe things should be done so never be afraid to ask. Whilst we appreciate the end goal is the same, the route there is different for everyone.

      MORTGAGES...have you got it covered
Often the scary bit but it really doesn't have to be. The trick here is quite simple, talk to an independent broker who you feel comfortable with and that you feel is looking after you. Not always as easy as it should be we know. We only have one company and broker we recommend because we feel this way about him, and many of our clients have come back to us saying how great they found his help.

      SOLICITORS...make the right decision
It can be simple, if you have a good solicitor that you have used before we would simply recommend using them again. If you haven't then there is nothing wrong with taking advice from your estate agent but make sure they are advising you for the right reason as some may be driven by the size of the referral fee they receive rather than the quality of the solicitor. Also it is sensible to ask the question are they 'no sale, no fee'

      Testimonials from Sellers

      • Seller Testimonial

        efficient, polite, understanding and friendly
From my initial meeting with David Cliff, when he convinced me that his company was the one that would achieve the best outcome for me, though to the confirmation call from Joss to say that completion had happened, every aspect of my dealings with the company showed them to be a professional group of people who are not only good at their various roles within the organisation, but are also skilled at dealing with customers in an efficient, polite, understanding and friendly way. During his visit the property to take photographs and gather details to prepare the sales literature. Oliver was helpful & informative with a friendly demeanour, which put me very much at ease. When my spirits began to sag following the umpteenth viewing with still no offers being made, David Hatch managed to put an optimistic slant on things which kept me going, until he was able to finally make the phone call to say that the buyers would meet my price. It is over 25 years since I last used an estate agent to sell a house, so I am far from being an expert, but it is hard to imagine anybody else could over a better overall experience which combined professionalism, efficiency and humour in perfectly balanced proportions.
      • Seller Testimonial

        full asking price
Highly recommended. During a stressful time, Brian handled our sale with sensitivity. As an experienced estate agent, he was a true professional, with a friendly approach that put us at our ease. Brian found us a buyer within 2 days of the house going on the market and at full asking price. He was efficient and supportive through the whole process, not only to us, but also to our buyers. Brian provided a seamless interface between the 2 parties, keeping us well informed at all times. Very impressive!
      • Seller Testimonial

        honest answers and opinions
From the outset, David Cliff and his team were easy to work with. on David's (Cliff) first visit to our home I found him easy to talk openly with, he gave honest answers and opinions, rather than talking big numbers to get you hooked. Jocelyn, she needs a pay rise! I would not her job, a very important part of the team, without her proactive approach in handling our sale I think the deal would have fallen appart.

      Testimonials from Buyers

      • Buyer Testimonial

        he was an absolute star!
We have had exceptional service from Lee and David Cliff in general. We wouldn't hesitate to use their services for buying or selling in the future and they have made a very stressful process go very smoothly for us. Lee went out of his way to help, even helping us measure curtain space widths and space for bathroom taps - he was an absolute star!
      • Buyer Testimonial

        Joss - wonderful!
Pre-sale, I'm not actually sure which agent introduced us to the property - so I apologise if it was Lee. I know we looked at other properties with Oliver and he was very helpful - as was David when we were finally waiting for our offer to be accepted. Joss - wonderful! Couldn't have been more helpful and made everything very easy for me (being a 1st time buyer). I know our solicitors were a bit of a pain so thanks so much. Appreciate everything you guys did. We know where we'll be going if we ever look to sell.
      • Buyer Testimonial

        charisma, expert knowledge and professionalism
It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Brian throughout the entire purchase process. From the moment we met him we knew we were in safe hands as Brian exudes a sense of charisma, expert knowledge and professionalism that is unrivalled in this industry. You immediately get the impression that Brian really cares about the interests of both parties and no request is too much for him to handle. Brian kept us informed every step of the way and ensured a very pleasant house buying process. If it were possible, he would be the only agent I ever used in the future. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything Brian.
