In 1987 like many others they were bought out by the Nationwide building society. David continued to manage a corporate office, ever more frustrated at being controlled by a head office hundreds of miles away with no real local knowledge and understanding of the local market. From there his sights were firmly set on opening his own office with a yearning to once again be able to provide a professional, flexible, friendly and most of all a personal service that only an Independent agent can give.
From this desire, during the turbulent period of the early 90s in 1992 David Conway & Company Estate Agents opened and quickly established itself as the leading agent in the area. Dedication and hard work were rewarded in 1994 when we were selected as the "Best Local Agent" by PHH Relocation (now Cendant Relocation) the worlds largest relocation company. We are proud members of their Homesale Network made up of the top 630 agents in the UK. Simply "Best of the Best".
After a recent reassessment by Cendant Relocation we have been reaffirmed as still the "Best of the Best" in our area, culminating in 1998 being nominated for the Cendant Cup the top award achievable for a network member placing us as one of the top six agents in the UK. An accolade we are justly proud of.
With a staff of 7 at their South Harrow office and 4 at our Central Harrow office David Conway & Company have a clear plan of expansion and promise not to forsake quality for coverage. Both offices are committed to providing the same level of service expected from a leading estate agent.
