    Michael Moore FNAEA, MARLA  - Senior Partner
    Michael started his career as a trainee chartered surveyor back in 1979 and joined the highly respected firm of V. Stanley Walker & Son in 1981. He joined Ackroyd Dent & Co. to open their Headingley office in 1983 working for David Hall FRICS, which Michael and his wife then bought a year later. They expanded the business to become Michael J Moore Associates Ltd over the next few years, selling out to a Building Society in 1990. Michael became an Area Manager and then District Manager for the Building Society and after completing his contract departed to buy the Headingley practice of David Moor Estate Agents & Surveyors in 1993. Recently re-branded to Moores, and with his wife, Julie, and daughter, Hayley, working alongside him, and ably assisted by his Associate Partners, they have developed the partnership into the well respected and professional agency they are proud to operate today.

    Michael has over 20 years experience in the property industry, both in social and private housing, and possesses a wealth of experience that ensures we are able to advise clients on all aspects of the residential lettings market; accurate and reliable advice on rental valuations, property marketing, refurbishment, repairs and improvements, debt collection as well as the ultimate court action and recovery of possession, when needed. Michael's team now manages 500 or so properties in Leeds, from the city centre to the outlying suburbs. Michael manages various large portfolios for clients with a focus not only on short term income maximisation, but the best medium and long term client investment.     Angie reports directly to Michael Davies, and heads up the day-to-day operation of the rentals team at Moores supported by Hayley, Shani, Gemma, Mat, Karl & Declan. Angie specialises in rental valuations, but also undertakes viewings with prospective new tenants, negotiates terms, sets up tenancies, deals with utility suppliers, negotiates lease renewals and conducts annual rent reviews. Angie's dedication and commitment to providing a high standard of customer service at Moores is second to none. She is regarded as a real asset to the partnership. Joined Moores in 2006.

    Hayley Moore BA (Hons), MNAEA - Junior Partner
    On the 1st November 2014 Hayley bought into the Moores Partnership and is now a Junior Partner. Although Hayley will primarily focus on her role as a Rental Negotiator, booking and undertaking viewings, closing negotiations on lettings and ensuring every property is presented to the market in its best light. Hayley's working week will also see her over time become more involved in the administration and strategic marketing policy of running the business with the ultimate intention of take a senior partners role in the future. Hayley obtained an Honours Degree at Manchester University, she achieved her qualifications in Property Management through the NAEA and has recently passed exams in Business Management with the Open University.     Gemma Hornsby BSc (Hons) -Maintenance Co-ordinator
    Gemma controls the maintenance demands of our ever growing property management portfolio combined with her bookkeeping role which she's been involved with at Moores for some time now. With around 500 properties in management at any one time and over 1,500 tenants there are always repairs and improvements to be undertaken. Gemma has an excellent ability to efficiently co-ordinate repairs & improvements to provide landlords and tenants with a high level of customer service and satisfaction; ensuring they are kept informed at each stage of the repair or improvement process, and ensuring costs are controlled and contained. Her role also sees her liaising closely with our landlord clients to ensure appropriate authorisation is sought for each and every repair and that the overall value of the work and the property are maintained. Our tenants can email details of any repairs directly through our website using the email address maintenance@moore2let.co.uk. Working closely with Mathew Ward, our Property Inspector, she follows up on his quarterly inspections where repair issues have been identified as "urgent"; such proactive management ensures properties do not fall into disrepair through ignorance or neglect.     Karl Stead - Rentals Co-ordinator
    Karl helps to manage our Rentals reception area, meeting and greeting customers and clients and dealing with the general enquiries for properties we have from landlords and tenants. Karl's day-to-day work includes co-ordinating viewings and booking valuations, taking tenant property requirements and adding them to our database and then matching those requirements to the properties we have for rent. Responding to emails, emailing landlords, handling phone calls are constants throughout Karl's busy day. Karl needs to work closely with our negotiators to ensure all parties are aware of who is interested in which property. Joined Moores 2012.

    Peter Moore - Co-ordinator
    Peter is studying for a degree in Mechanical Engineering at university whilst assisting Moores on a part-time basis with general administration, remote I.T. support, preparation of floor plans of property for sale as well as undertaking property viewings with tenants. Peter's input, albeit part-time, ensures the Moores operation functions smoothly and efficiently for the benefit of all our clients. Joined Moores 2012.

    Kris Barker - Property Inspector
    Kris undertakes our Quarterly Inspections of rented property, ensuring the fabric of every client's property is well maintained (to keep tenants happy and willing to re-sign for a further fixed term) and to ensure that tenants are looking after the property and garden in accordance with the tenancy agreement (to keep landlords happy and willing to re-sign!). Kris joined an estate agency in Newcastle when he left university and dealt with all aspects of renting and managing on a day to day basis. He also assists in the management and maintenance of his family's property portfolio in Leeds. Outside of work his passion is music; he even built (and still owns) his own recording/mixing studio and has enjoyed success with various ventures and bands over a number of years. Kris was born and now lives in Leeds and knows the city well. Joined Moores in 2015.

    Emma Bleach - Bookkeeper
    For most of our rental clients probably the most important member of our team, is Emma. As our Bookkeeper, Emma ensures that all collected rents are transferred to our clients' bank accounts regularly and on time, and that all authorised expenditure is accounted for and itemised for tax purposes. Emma's diligence and accuracy tracks thousands of pounds of clients money every week - to the penny! All our clients and contractors will find Emma very pleasant and personable to deal with.     Anne joins Moores at an exciting time for our growing business. With an increasing portfolio of properties coming into management her role will be key to ensuring that we continue to provide an exceptional property maintenance service to both landlords and tenants. In this newly created position Anne will deal with reactive maintenance (taking calls from tenants requiring property repairs, logging details, raising work sheets, instructing contractors, liaising with landlords, paying contractor invoices etc) as well as any planned maintenance identified on Kris's quarterly inspections of managed properties.       With many of our properties we can offer you viewings 7 days a week or show you around in the evening up to 7pm.       As a progressive estate agent Michael was the first in Leeds to have a website in the late 1980's and one of the first independent estate agents to operate a fully networked computer system. Now with over 30 years' estate agency experience in Leeds, being a past President of the Leeds Estate Agents Association, a long standing Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), Michael heads-up a highly motivated estate agency team, with both a Sales Department and a Property Management Department, who take pride in providing an excellent estate agency service to both the sales and rental market. Michael's specialism is the valuation and sale of both character homes and investment/buy-to-let properties.

      John Temperton BSc (Hons) MARLA
      John recently re-joined Moores having worked and trained with us over 10 years ago gaining valuable experience in Headingley during the booms years, following which he went on to run another estate agency in Leeds. John is very much a 'people person' and is passionate about delivering a high standard of service to clients and customers. His honest, open, approach is liked by both buyers and sellers. He has the ability to look at a problem with clarity and can usually find a solution quickly, helping to close deals that many agents would struggle with. As well as being a committed residential property valuer John also has in-depth knowledge of the rental market. He can advise on rental values as well as tenancy legislation, which is a tremendous asset in and around Headingley as many properties are sold or purchased as buy-to-let investments. John obtained his degree at Southampton University. He and his partner live in Leeds (in fact they've just moved into their new home). They have a young son, with another baby on the way. John likes to be busy - which is good as he'll have his hands full for the next year or two by the looks of things!

      Declan Bullock BSc (Hons)
      Having joined Moores in 2013 from a firm of estate agents in North Yorkshire, Declan brought with him not only his experience of property sales and negotiating but also his knowledge from his Degree in Building Surveying. Declan is ambitious and moved to Moores to expand his opportunities as well as gain experience in a well-developed city property market. Declan is a fitness enthusiast and sportsman having won trophies and medals throughout his school and university days. We have high expectations for Declan over the next few years.       Julie Moore
      Julie is an Equity Partner in the business with Michael, working predominantly on the sales side but helping with all administrative aspects of the operation. Michael and Julie have been married for 30 years and Julie has supported Michael's drive and enthusiasm for estate agency throughout their married life.  Julie formerly worked for the DoE, later moving into accountancy practices before joining Michael to open their first estate agency in 1993. Having an eye for detail, Julie ensures the business processes set up by Michael and the team function smoothly, leaving everyone else to focus on developing and agreeing sales.

      Louise Garner BA (Hons) (Ind)
      Louise is one of our front-line sales negotiators (along with Declan and Anya) responsible for all aspects of marketing, viewing and selling property. Her quick thinking, cheerful personality and empathetic nature enable her to deliver a consistently high standard of service to clients and buyers. After graduating from the University of Leeds in History and Roman Civilisation Louise decided to set up home in the city, already having ties with family living in Meanwood, despite being born and raised in East Sussex. Like Kris, Louise has a passion for music and is a singer in local choirs and opera groups. Her résumé includes setting up her own chamber choir and managing and successfully producing various concerts and fundraisers. Louise is also keen on playing tennis and watching cricket in her spare time.

Whether arranging viewings, providing customers with feedback or taking offers and closing deals, Anya and her colleagues maintain a calm, professional approach to what is a stressful time in most people's lives. Anya was brought up and educated in London, graduated from Leeds Trinity with an Honours degree in Psychology and has extensive experience in high-end hospitality, volunteer teaching (including a spell teaching in Thailand), and is keen on sports as well as personal fitness training.
