    Michael Moore FNAEA, MARLA 
    Michael started his career as a trainee chartered surveyor back in 1979 and joined the highly respected firm of V. Stanley Walker & Son in 1981. He joined Ackroyd Dent & Co. to open their Headingley office in 1983 working for David Hall FRICS, which Michael and his wife then bought a year later. They expanded the business to become Michael J Moore Associates Ltd over the next few years, selling out to a Building Society in 1990. Michael became an Area Manager and then District Manager for the Building Society and after completing his contract departed to buy the Headingley practice of David Moor Estate Agents & Surveyors in 1993. Recently re-branded to Moores, and with his wife, Julie, and daughter, Hayley, working alongside him, and ably assisted by his Associates Partners, they have developed the partnership into the well respected and professional agency they are proud to operate today.

    Michael has over 20 years experience in the property industry, both in social and private housing, and possesses a wealth of experience that ensures we are able to advise clients on all aspects of the residential lettings market; accurate and reliable advice on rental valuations, property marketing, refurbishment, repairs and improvements, debt collection as well as the ultimate court action and recovery of possession, when needed. Michael's team now manages 500 or so properties in Leeds, from the city centre to the outlying suburbs. Michael manages various large portfolios for clients with a focus not only on short term income maximisation, but the best medium and long term client investment.     Angie reports directly to Michael Davies, and heads up the day-to-day operation of the rentals team at Moores supported by Hayley, Judy, Charlotte, Shani, Gemma, Mat and Sam. Angie specialises in rental valuations, but also undertakes viewings with prospective new tenants, negotiates terms, sets up tenancies, deals with utility suppliers, negotiates lease renewals and conducts annual rent reviews. Angie was recently promoted to Assistant Rentals Manager and her dedication and commitment to providing a high standard of customer service at Moores is second to none.     Hayley Moore BA (Hons), MNAEA
    On the 1st November 2014 Hayley bought into the Moores Partnership and is now a Junior Partner. Although Hayley will primarily focus on her role as a Rental Negotiator, booking and undertaking viewings, closing negotiations on lettings and ensuring every property is presented to the market in its best light. Hayley's working week will also see her over time become more involved in the administration and strategic marketing policy of running the business with the ultimate intention of take a senior partners role in the future. Hayley obtained an Honours Degree at Manchester University, she achieved her qualifications in Property Management through the NAEA and has recently passed exams in Business Management with the Open University.     Charlotte Lampkin
    Charlotte recently joined Moores after having working for one of the national letting agencies and is one of our front-line rental reception administrators, a parallel role to Judy's, and Karl's in sales, meeting and greeting customers and clients and dealing with the many enquiries we receive each day by phone and email for all the properties we have available to let. With the rental market "booming" at the moment Charlotte, alongside Judy, has a non-stop daily schedule coordinating viewings, booking valuations, providing timely responses to emails and handling phone calls, as well as preparing the paperwork for the tenancies we set up each day, 7 days a week.     Mathew Ward BA (Hons)
    With an extensive property portfolio in management Mat joined Moores in 2013 as a dedicated Property Inspector undertaking Quarterly Inspections and providing clients with reports on their property's condition and state of repair. His role also looks at areas of potential improvement or redevelopment, identifying potential for enhancement of our client's investment, either by way of an increase in the property's value, an increase in its rental value, or both. Mat has worked for other estate agents in their property maintenance departments, and now brings to Moores a wealth of professional experience. We are already seeing the benefits of his expertise in the maintenance and repair side of the industry. Joined Moores in 2013.

    Shani Woodham
    For most of our rental clients probably the most important member of our team, is Shani. As our Senior Bookkeeper, Shani ensures that all collected rents are transferred to our clients' bank accounts regularly and on time, and that all authorised expenditure is accounted for and itemised for tax purposes. Shani's diligence and accuracy tracks thousands of pounds of clients money every week - to the penny! With a P.A. background Shani also adds an additional element to our management service; with her commitment to excellent customer service, whether the client has one property or over 40; all our clients find her very pleasant and personable to deal with. The systems and software we have also enable clients to see their own property accounts over the web and track dates for receipts, transfers to their bank and even when the next inspection or tenancy renewal is due!     Gemma Hornsby BSc (Hons)
    Gemma controls the maintenance demands of our ever growing property management portfolio combined with her bookkeeping role which she's been involved with at Moores for some time now. With around 500 properties in management at any one time and over 1,500 tenants there are always repairs and improvements to be undertaken. Gemma has an excellent ability to efficiently co-ordinate repairs & improvements to provide landlords and tenants with a high level of customer service and satisfaction; ensuring they are kept informed at each stage of the repair or improvement process, and ensuring costs are controlled and contained. Her role also sees her liaising closely with our landlord clients to ensure appropriate authorisation is sought for each and every repair and that the overall value of the work and the property are maintained. Our tenants can email details of any repairs directly through our website using the email address maintenance@moore2let.co.uk. Working closely with Mathew Ward, our Property Inspector, she follows up on his quarterly inspections where repair issues have been identified as "urgent"; such proactive management ensures properties do not fall into disrepair through ignorance or neglect.     With many of our properties we can offer you viewings 7 days a week or show you around in the evening up to 7pm. We don't recommend viewing properties in the dark usually, as you can't obtain a comprehensive overview, but we know many people have limited time-resources for viewings, so by all means request an evening viewing and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.

    Michael J Moore FNAEA, MARLA
    As a progressive estate agent Michael was the first in Leeds to have a website in the late 1980's and one of the first independent estate agents to operate a fully networked computer system. Now with over 30 years' estate agency experience in Leeds, being a past President of the Leeds Estate Agents Association, a long standing Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), Michael heads-up a highly motivated estate agency team, with both a Sales Department and a Property Management Department, who take pride in providing an excellent estate agency service to both the sales and rental market. Michael's specialism is the valuation and sale of both character homes and investment/buy-to-let properties.

    Debbie Quirk MNAEA, President of LEASVA 2014
    Having worked previously for a number of high profile estate agencies in Leeds, Debbie's has extensive estate agency experience. The sales team report daily to Debbie with progress on all ongoing sales, feedback and results from the websites, along with all potential opportunities for a sale to be brought together. With the sales team providing a high level of customer service and the ability to undertake dozens of viewings 7 days a week, Moores has a constant flow of offers to deal with from potential buyers and Debbie and her Senior Sales Negotiator, Dan, are kept very busy. This can be time consuming and demanding, but being office-based Debbie has the time and focus to produce results.  Debbie is dedicated to leading by example with good customer service and can often be contacted by customers early in the day until well into the evening in order to close a sale.     Dan Quirk MNAEA
    As our Senior Sales Negotiator Dan is responsible for sales negotiations and progression, encouraging and booking viewings, ensuring viewings are undertaken effectively 7 days a week, feedback obtained and reported to clients, etc. Dan also undertakes viewings as required to ensure all our clients receive an excellent service 7 days a week. One of the most important roles Dan undertakes is to progress/track sales that are sold, subject to contract, making sure that surveys are carried out expediently, reports obtained without delay and ensuring paperwork moves between the solicitors so that sales proceed to completion as soon as possible. Dan has always lived in north Leeds apart from his time at Reading University when he obtained his Degree (whilst working part time for a Reading based estate agency!) and currently lives in Alwoodley.     Rob Quirk MNAEA
    Rob is responsible for property valuations and listings, whether family homes, converted flats or investment properties, particularly HMO's of which he has exceptional sales experience. From initial valuation to listing on the market, taking photographs, preparing floor plans, marketing brochures and adverts, and carrying out viewings with prospective buyers, Rob is proactive in all aspects of residential sales. Working closely with Michael Moore on the valuation front, his role sees him also working alongside Debbie, Dan and the rest of the sales team. He is diligent, enthusiastic and committed to keeping Moores at the top of the performance tables. Rob's experience has seen him list properties from one bedroom back to back terrace houses through to multi-million pound small-holdings on the fringe of Leeds, with successfully completed sales across all price ranges. Rob was born and educated in north Leeds and now lives in north Leeds. Joined Moores 2005.

    Karl Stead
    Karl helps to manage our sales reception area, meeting and greeting customers and clients and dealing with the general enquiries for properties we have for sale from sellers and buyers. Karl's day-to-day work includes co-ordinating viewings and booking valuations, taking buyer's property requirements and adding them to our database and then matching those requirements to the properties we have for sale. Responding to emails, emailing buyers, handling phone calls are constants throughout Karl's busy day. Karl needs to work closely with our negotiators to ensure all parties are aware of who is interested in which property, ensuring all buyers have an opportunity to buy the house of their dreams and sellers achieve the best price the market has to offer. Karl is now studying for his NAEA examinations in Residential Estate Agency to become another of our qualified team of agents. Joined Moores 2012.

    Declan Bullock BSc
    Having joined Moores in 2013 from a firm of estate agents in North Yorkshire, Declan brought with him not only his experience of property sales and negotiating but also his knowledge from his Degree in Building Surveying. Declan is ambitious and move to Moores to expand his opportunities as well as gain experience in a well-developed city property market. Declan is a fitness enthusiast and sportsman having won trophies and medals throughout his school and university days. We have high expectations for Declan over the next few years.     Julie Moore
    Last but by no means least, Julie Moore is an Equity Partner in the business with Michael, working predominantly on the sales side but helping with all administrative aspects of the operation. Michael and Julie will have been married for 30 years in September 2014 and Julie has supported Michael's drive and enthusiasm for estate agency throughout their married life.  Julie formerly worked for the DoE, later moving into accountancy practices before joining Michael to open their first estate agency in 1993. Having an eye for detail, Julie ensures the business processes set up by Michael and the team function smoothly, leaving everyone else to focus on developing and agreeing sales.
