    Auctions
    Auctions are a tried and tested way of buying and selling property. In order to appeal to as wide a market as possible, DOMVS is offering two different types of auction.

    Traditional Auction

    On the fall of the gavel, the successful bidder pays a 10% deposit and is legally bound to buy the property. Completion is within 28 days. The seller is also legally bound to sell. This type of auction favours cash buyers and investors.

    Auction Plus

    The successful bidder pays a non-refundable deposit of £3,500 on the fall of the gavel, and agrees to complete within a maximum 42 days. Under this scheme, the buyer has the option to withdraw within 28 days.

    If you are looking to buy and your home is under offer with exchange of contracts imminently anticipated, this auction is ideal for you as it enables you to bid against cash buyers. For sellers, it opens up the auction to a wider audience and creates a livelier bidding environment.

    • Preparing particulars of the property including digital photographs
    • Advertising on our website, rightmove and onthemarket.com
    • Accompanied viewings
    • Interviewing prospective tenants
    • Taking up independent references including a credit check and right2rent check
    • Drawing up a Tenancy Agreement
    • Arranging an inventory / schedule of condition for the property. This is paid for by the Landlord(cost is dependent on the size of the property)
    • Collecting deposit (usually six weeks' rent) and registering the deposit with the DPS
    • Collecting the rent payments and forwarding to the Landlord by BACS payment
    • Providing a clear and concise monthly statement
    • Arrangement of repairs and maintenance on your behalf as per your instructions
    • Carrying out periodic management visits and provide a comprehensive visit reports
    • At the end of the tenancy, we will arrange for the check-out to be completed by an independent inventory clerk. We will liaise between both parties and arrange the return of the deposit.


    Rent Collection Service

    This service is suitable for Landlords who feel they are able to deal with the day to day maintenance of their property, but require an agent to collect the monthly rent:

    • Visiting your property and supplying a current rental appraisal
    • Advising on current legislation and legal aspects of letting

    Polly Greenway - Sales Director
    Polly's brainchild. Opening up DOMVS in 2005 after having previously been a main board director of a large independent estate agents for the previous 19 years. With over 30 years in the property business, Polly is utterly focused on providing an outstanding level of service, with the client firmly at the centre. She understands completely the power of recommendation and the importance of creating high standards. With skills suitably honed over a considerable time in the business, she has undoubted skills in running highly effective residential sales and lettings teams covering all aspects of agency.

    Away from work, Polly enjoys spending time with her husband Neil, who is also in the business. Their dog, Henley, a very spoiled Whippet, ensures they get plenty of exercise!

    Neil Greenway - Land & Development Director
    Having had his own architectural business being involved with commercial design from industrial buildings, military installations to restaurants, theatres, land redevelopment: you name it - both within the UK and abroad. Neil was also involved in supervising repairs and remedial works to ecclesiastical buildings throughout the south-west. With those skills as Director of Land and New Homes, he presides over a key part of the business and he and his staff enjoy a remarkable track record finding the "sweet spot" of a project. There's no substitute for experience, and it's a sought-after talent that sets Neil apart for the sale of land, acquisitions, the selling of new homes: providing independent advice at every stage to ensure a successful outcome for his many clients.

    Outside work he is a keen rugby fan and, in his youth, originally played for London Irish.

    Stuart Bramley - Associate Director

    Hailing from the world of commercial banking, Stuart was impressed by DOMVS' well-earned reputation for integrity and achieving results, underlined by a fundamental core of customer-driven service, so he made the move into residential estate agency in 2009. For Stuart, the transition has been a natural one, and he is now an Associate Director of the company, based at the Dorchester office.

    Stuart and his wife Francesca have recently welcomed twins into the world - trainee negotiators in the making!

    Trisha Ashby-Rudd - Associate Director
    With Wareham being the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck, Trisha knows how important it is that the team have a good knowledge of the area and the market. Having joined DOMVS to manage the Wareham office, Trisha has worked in the industry, on and off, since the 1980's and she and her team are fully committed to the DOMVS' ethos of offering a calm, considered and honest client focused service. Since opening the office in March 2014, we have gone from strength to strength and our clients know that they are our priority.

    Trisha and her partner Simon live locally in Wareham and, in her spare time when not wandering around the town and it's many walks, she enjoys painting as a way of relaxing.

    Following successful careers in London, Tim and his wife left the commuter lifestyle behind in pursuit of the "good life" in rural Dorset. Originally based at DOMVS' Dorchester office, Tim's experience in building rapport with clients enabled him to quickly become a key member of the team, before successfully moving on to manage the Preston office.

    Tim and his wife, who have just had their first baby, enjoy making the most of the Dorset countryside in their now limited spare time!
