    Established in 1993, Elliotts was a concept by original partner Julia Besser, as her aim was to raise standards among Estate Agents because her own experiences of dealing with Estate Agents in the area had been so poor. Elliotts quickly became one of the best known Agents in Hove. In 2002, two new Partners were appointed, Brian Huggins and Kevin Weatherill, who between them have more than 45 years experience. They were disillusioned with the agencies they were working for at that time, as they felt they were too large and too target orientated. Additionally these, like all other agencies, had a culture which seemed not to care about the people they were dealing with, nor the standard of the service provided. Brian and Kevin believed it could be done much better! So it proved! Elliotts have gone from strength to strength and now not only have one of the best reputations around but are also, without question, one of the most successful. We still strive to continually improve and innovate.

    Located in Church Road and at the top of First Avenue, our high profile offices are opposite St Johns Church, just past Palmeira Square, a location hand picked as it is one of the best sites in the city. Cars can pull up outside, and whilst we are in the very heart of central Hove, we are close to the Brighton/Hove border and only a short walk from the station. Elliotts Hangleton branch opened unofficially in December 2011 with a far more high profile and official launch in January 2012. Kevin and Brian have identified Hangleton and the surrounding areas as a natural move for people from Central Hove, complementing their already well established and successful office in Church Road. Kevin and Brian took over the reins in 2002 and have grown Elliotts into one of the city's highest profile agents and with 2012 nearly upon them realised this was a great opportunity and a great position here in Hangleton to expand the business further. Here at Queens Parade in Hangleton we have already become part of a welcoming community and aim to raise the bar in terms of standards delivered but also aim to achieve better prices for our clients along the way too. We are delighted to be here and with a large part of Hove also benefitting from being covered by not one but two branches of a very hardworking and committed independent firm.

    Here at Elliotts you are welcome to register with us and we will do everything we can to help you find a suitable property. This is an entirely free service which enables us to email regular updates of all our new properties and price reductions the moment they happen. Once you have found a suitable property then your offer will be dealt with by a senior member of staff.

    Once a sale has been agreed then it will once again be handled by a senior member of staff. That person will liase with surveyors and solicitors alike ensuring a smooth transition and sale process. This is likely to take somewhere between six and ten weeks to go through.

    EPCs and Professional Photography

    Here at Elliotts we can arrange for your EPC and both 2d and 3d floor plans to accompany the property details prepared for your property. It is a requirement of every property that is either marketed for sale or letting purposes to have an Energy Performance Certificate.

    Many of our properties are professionally photographed. Extensive research shows that a much better response is generated when professional photography has been implimented. Over the years many have been critical of Estate Agents photographs however here at Elliotts we recognise the importance of top quality presentation.

    Meet The Team

    Elliotts was established in 1993 by the original partner Julia Besser following some negative experiences she had with agents. Julia wanted to raise the standards and thanks to her dedication, we became one of the best known agencies in the local area.

    In 2002, Brian Huggins and Kevin Weatherill joined as two new Directors bringing with them a wealth of knowledge from over 50 years of combined experience they have in the industry. Like Julia, they were disillusioned with some of the common practices used by other agents and wanted the focus to be brought back to providing an exceptional service to the local people they were selling and buying homes for. In other words, they wanted to be part of an agency that cared.

    More recently a second office in Hangleton was opened in December 2011 complementing the already successful central Hove location. Like our Hove office, our Hangleton base has become part of a welcoming community and we are delighted to be there.

    We have since continued to go from strength to strength. Our caring nature, pioneering use of technology and extensive experience has meant we now not only have one of the best reputations in the area, we are also, without question, one of the most successful.

    But, although we still strive to continually improve and innovate, the high standards set back in 1993 are still very much core to our philosophy today.

    When dealing with Elliotts you will have the confidence of knowing that your valuation will be carried out by a member of THE most experienced team of valuers in the city. Between us we have over 65 years collective experience.     Brian Huggins - Director

    Brian's first foray into the property industry was as an Office Junior for a large (then) independent local agency in the late 1970s. He then became the youngest ever Manager at the same company (now corporate) at 23 and youngest Director when the company expanded before he was 30.As the agency expanded, Brian was promoted to Regional Director running 33 offices across Sussex and Kent, but became slightly disgruntled with corporate life.

    He therefore bought into Elliotts with long term friend Kevin Weatherill as they knew they could do things better! This allowed Brian to return to a more hands on role which he had missed. Brian is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a member of the Brighton & Hove Estate Agents Association.Outside work Brian rarely sits still and enjoys playing a variety of different sports, particularly if they involve a ball! He previously played a good standard of football, but is now satisfied with a season ticket for Brighton & Hove Albion. He also tries to play golf, but seems to find it more difficult to hit a ball that isn't moving! Brian is a big live music fan and is married with two grown up children and a dog called Hetti.

    What I like about my job: "I love the competitive nature of the business, and of course knowing that we are the best at what we do and applying our skills and experience to help get people moving. Even though the legal system of selling and buying is a bit naff, I enjoy helping and guiding people through the process and ensuring they understand what they really want from a move. And no two days are ever the same!"

    Steve Boone - Branch Manager

    Steve has 18 years' industry experience, taking his first role as a Junior Negotiator at the age of just 17. After gaining experience at three agencies Steve has climbed up the proverbial ladder to his current position of Branch Manager of Hove.

    Outside of work Steve's life is very much devoted to his young son, Finley, who will be starting school this year. They enjoy eating out, holidays and day trips into the hustle and bustle of London, which is their favourite destination.

    What I like about my job: "I enjoy providing a consistently honest, friendly and professional service to all my clients, emulating an experience I would expect to receive myself".

    Laura Davies - Sales Manager

    Laura has worked in the industry since 2011 and joined us in 2015. As Sales Manager, Laura is our specialist in getting properties from offer stage right through to completion and is always there for our customers to help guide through the process.

    Laura is known for her happy and bubbly personality and rarely has a bad day! Outside of work you will probably find Laura on a plane going somewhere fantastic. She has already been to Barbados, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Australia, Spain, Majorca, Menorca, Fuerteventura, Egypt, Tenerife, Turkey, Greece, LA, Miami and Las Vegas (her favourite place). Suggestions on a postcard please for where she can visit next!

    What I like about my job:: "There is so much I love about my job that there is probably too much to mention, but being able to look around some fabulous properties, overcoming challenges to achieve a positive outcome and having the responsibility of someone's most expensive purchase are just a few."

    Will Vaziri - Senior Negotiator

    Will has 11 years' experience in the industry and joined us in January 2014, initially at our Hangleton office, but is now based in Hove. As a senior negotiator Will books valuations and viewings, helps people find the right property and negotiates with the seller and buyer.

    Will has lived in Brighton & Hove all his life. He is a keen sportsman playing golf and football, and regularly visits the gym, although he doesn't seem to see a change in his waistline! Prior to joining the estate agency industry, Will hoped to be a big hit in the music industry and did cut a record, but it wasn't to be and the music industry's loss is our gain!

    What I like about my job: "I enjoy being able to meet new people and families and being there for them for the duration of their move."

    Tobin Watson - Negotiator
    Previous to joining Elliotts Tobin worked as a carpenter, but a work experience placement with another estate agent confirmed that he wanted a change of career. However, his carpentry knowledge certainly allows Tobin to help other people see the potential in a property!

    As part of his role, Tobin accompanies buyers on viewings, helps with the sales process, obtains feedback from buyers and represents sellers in the negotiation stages, amongst many other duties. He is extremely friendly and approachable and loves to be kept busy.

    Outside of work Tobin enjoys anything to do with cars, Formula 1 and playing golf. He has also recently purchased a flat with his partner which he is in the process of renovating.

    What I love about my job: "We have a great team environment and no two days are the same. I also get to meet new people every day and help them through the biggest purchase they will ever make".

    Karen Martin - Team PA

    Karen joined us at the beginning of 2015 and is an invaluable member of Elliotts. She helps all the team by creating valuation reports and property details, assisting with the production of quality marketing brochures, invoicing solicitors, monitoring emails and, perhaps most importantly, she makes a fantastic brew!

    In her spare time Karen enjoys cooking and going on tropical holidays with her partner of 10 years ('poor Lee', as we all call him). She also loves dogs, jigsaws and cross stich, and is an avid ebay seller.
