I left Liverpool University with an MBA in Urban Regeneration and a degree in Geography and started working with a North London Estate Agency. After a short time I recognised that due to consistent staff changes and the size of the geographical area covered, much of the advice given to both Landlords and Tenants was too generalised to be of any real assistance. I felt that the ideal Agency should have an unrivalled knowledge of its area, not just street by street but property by property, thus the strategy of GLP was conceived. In 2003 I rented a Soho office and began trading. In 2008 the company moved to Broadwick St and Greater London Properties became the only property window in Soho, something I am extremely proud of. It's a pleasure to be so involved in the local community, it's an incredibly unique area and the changes taking place will only add to this. We have a fantastic team of people who know the west end intricately, are all experts in their roles and are a pleasure to work with, I couldn't be happier. My spare time is taken up by my ever growing family, Everton and the NFL.

After graduating from Liverpool, I was accepted into the Black and Decker Graduate Programme where I was trained as a power tool demonstrator developing my selling skills and perfecting my wood work! After 3 years I moved to London taking a marketing job and started working for GLP at the beginning of 2012. My role is to ensure our properties and the company gain as much exposure as possible, through talking with journalists, attending networking events, social networking and online advertising. It's been an extraordinary few years and we are proud to have become one of the largest independent estate agencies in the area. There is a strong market for bespoke and personal service an agency like ours can offer clients both large and small, and its exciting times ahead. My spare time is spent running around Dulwich and trying all the delicious new restaurants in the West End!

Starting my career in the banking sector in the City, I decided to take the plunge and switch to Residential Lettings in 2010, one of the best decisions I have made. I have worked in both the City and West End markets giving me an in-depth knowledge of the Central London property market. After working on the lettings side for 4 years, I was offered the role of heading up the referencing department and taking on the general office management which I accepted and have enjoyed ever since. Together with my comprehensive understanding of lettings and on the job training of the referencing procedures and tenancy agreements, I have definitely found my niche. I am also a keen tennis player and on a weekend you'll find me roller booting around Victoria Park.

I realized my passion for property early whilst working for my father's estate agency during my school years. After graduating, I went to work for one of Austria's leading banks and then Europe's leading property companies where I gained a higher understanding of the industry. After finishing my MSc in Business Administration I joined Greater London Properties as a lettings negotiator and immediately fell in love with London and the West End. I have recently started my studies again in Real Estate at Reading University in order to gain more qualifications and a more in-depth knowledge of all aspects of property. I am a keen cyclist and have recently returned from a trip starting at Dunkirk and ending up at the Hook of Holland, quite an adventure.

I have over 7 years' experience in the property management and construction industry. I began my career as a crane operator in Central London working on huge developments such as Great Ormond St and St Georges Wharf in Vauxhall whilst still having time to play semi-professional football. After refurbishing my own house I realised my passion for property and began work at Apollo group then moved to Acorn as a property manager and from there Dinglis Estates, a development company based in north London. I am ARLA qualified and now head up the Property Management team here at GLP working with private landlords, Local Estates and oversee all aspects of the property management. I always dreamt of working in Central London when I was young and have an affinity to the architecture of buildings. I find great pleasure in ensuring a property achieves and maintains its highest potential before, during and after tenancies. The buildings in Soho, Fitzrovia & Bloomsbury are often older and with that comes a certain quaintness that I admire. - The pubs are great too. Repertoire is key with me. After all, I'm managing your property - there must be a strong bond between us. My top three London spots? During my university years I quickly had the opportunity to travel and graduated in Corporate Communications in York University of Toronto in Canada. After returning to Paris (where I'm from) and having a short career in Events, I decided to discover another country and arrived in London in 2011 where I completed a Masters Degree in International Advertising. After graduating I worked in hospitality for a couple of years and finally joined an estate agency in West London in 2013. This is where it all started for me. The property industry had always appealed to me and I knew helping people finding their homes would be an exciting challenge. Greater London Properties has been a great step for me and working in Central London is fascinating for both its unique architecture and its vibrant cultural diversity. It is no surprise I am also a keen traveller and an accomplished foodie!

In 2013 I graduated with a BSC degree in Sport, Health and Leisure Education from Queens University in Belfast which gave me the opportunity to live and further my studies in Malta, with other international students. Not only did I gain a lot of independence from this, but I was also lucky enough to experience many different cultures. After studying in Malta, I travelled to North America to work as a counsellor at a summer camp with children aged 4-18 years old and then most recently I worked for Stena Line which is one of the largest ferry operators in the world. This job was customer service based and entailed much travelling between Ireland and Scotland. Living in London has always been my dream and with my customer service and traveling experience, I knew I wanted to work in an industry where I would have the chance to live a fast-paced life meeting people from around the world. Greater London Properties has given me the chance to fulfil this and I am enjoying learning more about the property industry and about London. I have been really welcomed in to the GLP team and looking forward to furthering my career here. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends and will regularly be found enjoying the shopping on Oxford Street!

After studying Architecture at University of East London I qualified with a BSC degree and left with a high interest in both residential and commercial property. Alongside my studies I was working in hospitality which continued after I had graduated. I oversaw the managing of executive lounges and boxes across the hospitality industry for clients such as Chelsea FC, Tottenham FC, West Ham FC and at locations such as The O2 Area, Twickenham Stadium and Cheltenham Racecourse. My interest in property never left me and I made the decision to make a career change and further my knowledge in what it takes to maintain a property physically and legally as one day, I plan to become a Landlord myself! I really enjoy getting to know our landlords and tenants and building long lasting relationships with them.

I was educated at Corona Art Theatre School where I specialised in ballet and toured in the show 'High School Musical' as well as being involved in many other theatre productions such as Annie and Bugsy Malone. After my studies, I travelled around America with Joshua Tree being my favourite destination where I was camping out in the desert. I have previously been working in the lettings property industry in Surrey however I wanted to come into the heart of busy Soho for the hustle and bustle of the city which Greater London Properties has given me the opportunity to do. In my spare time I enjoy going to West End musicals and can highly recommend Billy Elliott! My next holiday destination I would love to travel to is China as I love to see different traditions and cultures.

And here's what our clients say..

"Thanks again to the fantastic team at GLP for the excellent service provided in January! Alex and Marc managed to find us a superb property in no time, just what we wanted and where we wanted it. Given we had quite some time pressure in moving, the team also did an an amazing job in completing all paperwork and other processes, moving us into our new place in less than a week from the first viewing. Also now that we have moved in, and GLP also act as our agent, we can only express our compliments to the team! Thanks again for all your help. "
        Ramilies Place

"Oskar Riessbacher from Greater London Properties (GLP) was very helpful during my search for a property. He helped to identify properties that met my criteria and found the perfect apartment for me. He was knowledgeable, friendly and quite funny too - which is always a plus in life! I would definitely recommend! Once I made my decision on the property, Marc - Oskar's colleague - talked me through the steps and paperwork required and kept in regular contact to help me with all of the paperwork etc. Marc made the process easy and now I'm very happy in my new apartment. I appreciate very much Marc's assistance, he did his job very well and I\'m sure that he will be helpful to other potential customers. "

"Our experience dealing with the team at Greater London Properties has been a very good one so far. Marc Hughes, the managing agent of the property we are renting, is always extremely helpful. We have had quite a few problems recently and he has always responded very promptly and helped us solving all the issues. He is always on top of things and follows up until he\'s sure that we are happy with the result. "
        Brockway House

"Lived at said address for 2 1/2 years, during which period I didn't have a single problem from GLP as the letting agent. When it came time to move out, GLP offered a very professional service, as well as a very understanding service, which I found a very pleasant surprise. Would definitely use them again - and so far they are the only letting agent that I've ever been able to say that about."

        Mariana - Brockway House

"Marc Hughes is the best property agent I have ever dealt with. He dealt with every issue I raised quickly and with great knowledge. The move in was smooth and having rented 10 properties in London in the last 10 years he stands heads above the rest. Greater London Properties are a pleasure to deal with. No need to go anywhere else! "
Mr. Bennett - Strand on the Green

"They say that finding and moving a house/flat is one of the most stressful experiences, and it certainly can be.That's why i can not recommend enough the young and amazing Oskar Riessbacher from Greater London Properties, and although over all experience with the rest of the GLP team was positive,it was Oskar who made this deal happen and the whole experience was ultra smooth, now you have to remember, this is grey London, where most people whatever job they are in, are soley focused on money and closing the deal, they do not care about you, weather you are happy with the outcome and the experience or not,let me put this in a perspective with a humorous anecdote: a month after i've informed Foxtons that i no longer look for a property,i still get calls from them asking me if i'd like to see this or that,it's pathetic, one of the largest operators yet lowest standards, and all cause they dont care they see the clients as a mark and are only interested in your money, very much like the Ferengi. My overall experience with GLP has been very good, and I should mention Alex and Shuhana also but Oskar is a real star of the show,i haven't seen such professionalism, flexibility and efficiency since my time in Tokyo, and in my experience it is only real estate men of Beverly Hills that are more on the ball, however, after many bad experiences in terms of service and overall standards with large estate agencies here in London, and believe me there were many, this was a real breath of fresh air.I'd even go as far to say that Oskars efficiency may have something to do with his background, his knowledge of the market and most importantly, with the fact that he cares. Most people today, dont really care about their jobs, this is where Oskar excels,he is a true professional,i just hope he opens up a firm of his own soon,as with his vision and his very high standards he'll destroy the current competition ,much like in football terms Bayern destroyed Arsenal last week. I hope you all find this review useful. "

"Oskar is a competent, motivated and friendly agent. He has been very helpful from the very first time we got in touch with him. His flexibility made it easy to arrange an appointment to view the property. He has been able to answer all our questions regarding the property and the tenancy agreement during the viewing and the application process. Different to other agents, Oskar was very well prepared at the viewing and has been professional throughout. If you want to get professional and useful advice combined with friendliness, we would suggest you to ask for Oskar. Again, great work, Oskar! "
