    Who Are We?

    Established in 1996 by husband and wife team, Lynda Hearne and Lyndon Le Boutillier, Hearnes has now become one of the most successful and respected estate agencies in Dorset and Hampshire.

    Right from the start, Lynda and Lyndon set out to change people's perceptions of estate agents; to prove that friendliness and professionalism can go hand in hand; to be open and straightforward and always ready to help; to show that the technology of the digital age and the traditional values of independence and service were perfectly compatible; be responsive and accountable and live up to every promise we made.

    In short, to take the usual stresses and strains out of buying and selling. And make the whole process as simple and straightforward as you've a right to expect.

    Lynda was educated locally at Talbot Heath School, completed her A levels at Millfield School and obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Loughborough University. Her competitive nature has always driven her to succeed, highlighted by 12 years of competition in athletics at national level and twice running the London Marathon! Her time spent at a subsidiary of PepsiCo led her to fully understand the need for service excellence.

    Lyndon was brought up and educated in Bedfordshire where his father ran his own business. Lyndon's career in Estate Agency began in 1982 when he worked for Taylors, a subsidiary of Hambro Countrywide. He soon became Area Manager and in 1993 moved to the Bournemouth area, still working for the Hambro Group. After further success as Regional Manager, Lyndon recognised the need to move the business focus to the clients without the restrictions and inflexibility of a corporate agency.

    Lynda and Lyndon were married in 1998 and have since been blessed with the arrival of four children, Jordan, Noah, Samuel and Grace.

    In 2010 Anthony Holtom and Sally Gravener joined Hearnes as Shareholders and Directors in Ringwood. Anthony has been a leading Estate Agent in Ringwood for 22 years for a large national company. Sally started her career there years in 2001 subsequently working in Highcliff where she becames the highest performing Manager in the area,

    Anthony and Sally are lifelong Ringwood residents and support the local people and business' in every way they can. They have created a pro active estate agency office with tailored marketing suitable for all property types. The double fronted office is situated in a prominent town centre location with a large amount of window space to advertise their properties.

    Sally and Anthony became engaged in 2011 and plan to marry soon.

    Seller's guide

    When you decide to sell your home, it's worthwhile asking friends, neighbours and colleagues for their experience of local estate agents. From this, you can put together a short list of three or four - asking each for a valuation of your home.

    Don't simply opt for the agent who gives you the highest valuation or quotes the lowest fee, but make a rounded judgement on the impression they create and the services they offer. And adopt a similar approach when choosing a solicitor to handle your sale.

    Buyer's guide

    When you're thinking of buying a house, the first thing to do is find out how much you'll be able to borrow for your mortgage. You can talk to independent advisers or approach a bank or building society, but whichever mortgage you choose, you should be sure the repayments and running costs of your new home are affordable. Some lenders now provide certificates of mortgage approval and these can be very useful to demonstrate you're a serious and credible buyer to sellers and agents.

    There are a number of other costs you'll incur when buying - with stamp duty and solicitor's fees likely to account for several thousand pounds. You'll also need sufficient funds to cover any deposit and fees for surveys, valuations, land registry, mortgage arrangements and removal expenses.

    When you find a property you like, you can make an offer to the selling agent and if it is accepted, you should ask for the property to be taken off the market. At this stage, you should instruct a solicitor to act for you, and together with the seller's solicitor, they will draw up the contracts for the sale. Your solicitor will make any enquiries that are needed and resolve any questions or queries you may have.

    While this is being done, you should arrange for a survey on the property and if this is unsatisfactory, you will still be entitled to pull out of the sale without penalty. Prior to contracts being exchanged, you will be asked for a deposit, and once you've paid that, your sale should proceed to completion on the date you and the seller have agreed.

    Lyndon Le Boutillier, Owner.

    Born and bred in Bedfordshire, Lyndon was educated at Bedford School and lived in that area until 1992 when he moved to Bournemouth. His first full-time job was as an Estate Agent in Newport Pagnell in 1982 for a highly charged independent group called Taylors. He has always been in agency and thoroughly enjoys his career. Having been involved with corporate agency for some years he felt that setting up their own company was the only real way to be able to provide the best possible service. Lyndon runs the day to day operations at Ferndown and maintains a consulting position in Ringwood. He too is a committed Christian and hobbies include fishing and golf (if he ever gets the time between running the children around!

    Lynda Le Boutillier, Owner.

    Lynda was born in Romford and at the age of one moved to New Zealand with her family where they stayed until she was 14. Subsequently educated at Talbot Heath, Millfield, then Loughborough University she attained an excellent level of qualification. She ran at national level at 800m and 1500m; has run the London marathon twice and still runs for an hour a day before the majority of us stir from our beds! Having set up Hearnes with Lyndon in 1996, they married soon after and have since had four children. Lynda worked full time in The Company for many years and now spends her busy life looking after the children, maintaining a consulting position within Hearnes. She is a committed Christian and is involved in various Christian groups through Christ Church and through school. The company takes its origin from Lynda's maiden name as she is one of two sisters and their name Hearne would have been lost once she married.

    James Hadley-Clift, Branch Manager.

    Born in Cambridgeshire, James has spent much of his life moving around England, but has been brought up predominantly in Harrow, North London. He moved to this area in 2006 to be closer to famiy. He has previously run a company in the photographic and publishing sector for 15 years, which gave him the opportunity to travel to 25 different countries in 5 different continents. He has been in Estate Agency since 2007 having cut his teeth in difficult market conditions, thereby learning agency the hard way. He joined Hearnes in 2010 as a Senior Property Consultant, soon after achieving promotion to Assistant Manager and was promoted again to Branch Manager in 2013. Having married Abi in 2012 they are now expecting their first child, when he will have to give up his hobbies of photography, art, cricket, football and spreadsheets, in favour of sleep and nappies!

    Andrew (Andy) has 25 years experience in the property sales and lettings industry. He was previously a director of his own Estate Agency in Southampton and more recently set up a lettings business for an Estate Agent in Bournemouth town centre. He is ARLA qualified and has an unwavering passion for the property business in his own words.he firmly believes that exemplary customer service combined with a thorough knowledge of property and legislation are of paramount importance in a modern lettings agency. He is married to Michelle with two children, Phoebe and Alex and enjoys coaching football, reading and having fun with the family.

    Entering Estate Agency in 2007 leading to her joining Hearnes in 2010, Sarah has developed an enhanced understanding of the business in difficult market conditions and has excelled by continually furthering herself to achieve results. With continued enthusiasm and motivation, Sarah is one of the top consultants within Hearnes. Having attended the Ringwood Schools and going on to gain GNVQ level 1,2 & 3 qualifications in Floristry, Sarah decided a career engaging with people would be her vocation. Sarah is a keen runner and enjoys music, art and travelling.

    Ann has lived in Ferndown for 25 years having brought up her two grown-up children here who love Ferndown and living at home! She put them through the local schools and has excellent knowledge of the local area. Ann previously managed a popular ladies/children's fashion store for 10 years and has been with Hearnes, Ferndown for over 100 years (sorry that's 10!) She loves the outdoor life and has a fab little boat with her fiancé which they take out as often as possible.

    Jeremy Stuart, Senior Property Consultant.

    Jeremy was born and bred in the Bournemouth area having attended school here and gone on to study Business at NVQ level at Bournemouth and Poole College. He joined Hearnes in 1999 having previously been a trainee manager at Tescos and subsequently working in the investments department of NatWest Bank. Jeremy worked up through the ranks to become one of our longest serving and most valued senior consultants, with his watchwords being 'conscientious and diligence' He spent a short time with Savilles and rejoined us in 2013 quickly re-establishing himself as an invaluable team member. His son Lucas was born in 2008 and Jeremy enjoys much of his spare time playing football either with Lucas or in a local 5-a-side team.

    Stacey has lived in Ferndown her whole life having attended Hampreston and Ferndown Schools and is very family orientated. She previously worked in hospitality and management and spent three years as an Officer with Princess Cruises learning a great deal people's expectation levels of quality service and communication. Stacey joined Hearnes in 2011 and is currently studying to become ARLA qualified. She owns her own horse which takes up a great deal of her spare time.

    Julian was born in Plymouth and raised in Taunton, educated in Somerset and received a diploma in surveying and cartography. Having been an Estate Agent for 16 years Julian has worked in both independent and corporate fields both locally and in the West Country and is qualified at NVQ levels 1, 2 & 3. He worked for Hearnes in 2007/8 and has since taken a break from the business to work in the marine industry, which has been a passion of his for some years. Julian rejoined Hearnes in 2013 after we tracked him down and tempted him back. He is an extremely personable and very organised individual who takes pride in the quality of his work and delivering service above his clients' expectation levels. He married in 2009 in the New Forest and has two children, enjoying family time when not at work. He has various sporting hobbies the main one of which is sailing, as well as golf, tennis and badminton.

    Lori Leon, Property Consultant.

    Lori was brought up in Spain moving to England at the age of sixteen, schooling at Santisimo Cristo Buen Acierto! She has lived locally ever since and has two children of 10 and 9 years old. Before joining Hearnes Lori was a Trainer at Liverpool Victoria and prior to that a Golf Professional for 8 years. She has been an Estate Agent since 2004 when she joined Hearnes as a trainee, subsequently learning the job extremely quickly and becoming a service orientated consultant who is very quick thinking. Lori is a valuable team player who is currently working with us part-time and helping out in all areas. Her remaining time is spent enjoying raising her family.
