Jackson-Stops & Staff was first established in East Anglia in Newmarket in the 1950’s. We opened our Ipswich office in 2000, along with Norwich, and have subsequently opened in Bury St Edmunds in 2003. The East Anglian jigsaw has now been completed with the recent opening of Chelmsford in Essex, providing a network of 5 offices covering the whole region. This links in to our national network, including our 9 London offices, with the Country Houses and Estates office in Mayfair.
Partners, Tim Dansie FRICS and Jonthan Penn Dip.Est.Man., have nearly fifty years’ experience specialising in all aspects of the sale and valuation of period country properties throughout Suffolk and Essex.
The region is attracting a wide variety of buyers from throughout the country. North Essex and South Suffolk lie within daily commuting tolerance of London, with mainline rail services running frequently from London Liverpool Street Station to Colchester (55 minutes), Manningtree (60 minutes), Ipswich (70 minutes), Stowmarket (85 minutes) and Diss (95 minutes).
The region is well served by main roads, with the M11, A12 and A14 linking into the country’s motorway network. The East Coast, with its picturesque estuaries, offers a wide variety of water sport opportunities. There are numerous attractive market towns, including medieval Lavenham, the riverfront town of Woodbridge, Dedham in the heart of Constable Country, as well as the popular coastal towns of Orford, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold.
The Jackson-Stops & Staff office sits in the heart of the thriving county town of Ipswich, opposite the magnificent St-Mary-Le-Tower Church. The fast developing waterfront and the increased variety of high quality retailers is increasing Ipswich’s popularity.
We hope the properties we have available will be of interest to you. If you would like any further information on these or wish to discuss any aspect of the East Anglian market, please do not hesitate to contact us.
