Our office at Tooting Bec has recently moved to a newly refurbished double fronted premises at 26, Tooting Bec Road, SW17 8BD. If you are passing please pop in- we are sure you will be given a warm welcome.
The housing stock around the area is varied, although mainly built in the Victorian era. The most substantial are on ‘The Heaver Estate’, described at the time of it’s inception as ‘The Finest Estate in London’. Although this enclave suffered greatly in the post war years there has been a significant amount of re-gentrification in the last 30 years or so with it now being first choice for many discerning purchasers.
Eating in Tooting is a cultural delight. Asian restaurants in particular are plentiful- but not to the exclusion of all others. The Soho House group have chosen Tooting as a destination for their new ‘Chicken Shop’ brand.
Schools and nurseries are also in abundance especially in the area between Tooting Bec and Balham. Examples include The Crescent, Finton House and Tooting Graveney.
Transport facilities are mainly provided by the Northern Line Underground stations of Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway, although numerous bus routes also supply the area.
