    Leese & Nagle was established in 2003 by Robert Nagle and Mark Leese. We still run the business hands on from our Clifton and Westbury offices today and have a proven track record of successfully selling thousands of properties over the decades.

    Between us and our highly experienced team we have over 150 years estate agency experience gained mostly in North West Bristol so we feel it is fair to say we know the area reasonably well.

    • LOCAL. It's maybe a cliché, but we are local! Most of us have lived and worked in the area for more years than we care to remember. Our children have attended local schools; we know the parks, shops, bars and restaurants. Buyers of your home don't just buy bricks and mortar they buy into a lifestyle. Who better to promote this lifestyle and your property than a 'local'.
    • INDEPENDENT. We are independently owned and operated with the owners of the business working hands on in the business on a daily basis. It's our name above the door and we care passionately about that.
    • PERSONAL. Most of our clients move infrequently and we know it can be a daunting proposition. One of our experienced team of estate agents will personally oversee both you and your property from start to finish. Whilst the whole team help to sell your home and progress the sale your agent will be on hand to provide guidance, advice and assist you ensuring you have a trusted advisor working with you to meet your objectives. We often advise our clients about their onward purchase and feel our experience is invaluable to many in this area.
    • PEOPLE. Estate agency despite all the technical innovation is still a people business. Yes we're local but we're also highly experienced. The team here boasts around 150 years of agency experience. That experience can make a lot of difference to your move being successful.
    • KNOWLEDGE. Given most of us live in the area, have over 150 years of experience between us and have successfully sold thousands of properties on our client's behalf we feel we know both the area and property market better than most.

    • COMMITMENT. We are dedicated to selling property. We do not operate a lettings, auctioneers, solicitors, mortgage advisor or survey department. Thus all of our energy and effort goes into selling your property. We are happy to recommend good local businesses to assist in these areas. We do not receive inducements to make these recommendations. They are recommended because they are good at their job.


      MARKETING

      As a business we use a wide range of marketing and advertising media. Without giving all our secrets away some of what we strive to achieve is set out below.

      • PROMINENT OFFICE WINDOW. Our offices are one of the most visual aspects of the business. Smart, contemporary offices in prominent locations give both buyer and seller confidence that we are on hand and available. We have highly visual back lit window displays designed to attract enquiries and interest from both serious buyer and casual browser.
      • FOR SALE BOARDS. We are regularly asked if they are still relevant. The answer is they are if used appropriately. We will discuss their use and placement during our conversations.
      • PRINTED ADVERTISING. We utilize a comprehensive range of prominent printed media including the traditional weekly property post and monthly lifestyle magazines such as The Bristol magazine
      • PRINTED BROCHURES. Our brochures are designed to promote the prominent features of the property with a salient description. We back this up in most cases with professional photography and floor plan packages.
      • INTERNET ADVERTISING. we have our own modern comprehensive website that provides detailed information on not just the individual property but the local area and amenities such as schools and health care provision. We also advertise on two of the main property portals.
      • PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATION. We recognise that a property now has to shine against its competitors on the internet sites or printed media. What is going to make your property the one that stands out from the rest and secure that potential buyers attention. We've listened to buyers. They constantly tell us good quality photos, a clear and legible floor plan and concise and accurate description of the property are the most important things for them. we recommend a professional photography package where relevant.
      • PERSONAL SERVICE. Our advertising gives us the raw materials of initial enquiries that we are then able to nurture and develop through good old fashioned personal contact into both vendors and buyers. At the heart of everything estate agency is still very much a people business.
      • COMPREHENSIVE BUYER DATABASE. With two prominent offices jointly marketing every property on our books we have built up a comprehensive database of prospective buyers who are actively looking in the area. We promote your property to relevant parties on this list.
      • SOCIAL MEDIA. Facebook and Twitter are beginning to become more important marketing platforms as people's media platform use changes over time. We also regularly update our newsfeed/blog to ensure we are kept active in this area. Although it's a higher cost option video tours and user driven walkthrough tours are becoming available for us to use. Examples of links to these tours are available on our website.

      Robert Nagle

      Robert established Leese & Nagle in 2003 with Mark Leese. He has worked in the north West Bristol area as an estate agent since the late 1980s' and has an unrivalled knowledge of the market in the area. Robert is a renowned hard worker who prides himself on his personal service to clients. He has achieved excellent results over the years and consistently put his clients interests first.

      Outside of work Robert lives in Portishead and is an active member of the BS9 round table. He is also on the organizing committee for the annual Canford Park charity firework display.

      Mark Leese

      Bristol born and bred Mark returned from university and world wide travels in the mid 1990's and commenced a career in estate agency in Clifton setting up the business with Robert in 2003. Known for a straightforward approach and ability to overcome issues that arise in the transaction process. He is vice president of the Bristol Property Agents Association and company secretary for Bristol Property Live the weekly property paper. Mark has been a member of the national association of estate agents for over a decade. 

      Outside of work Mark has lived in Henleaze with his wife and family for the past decade. He is a keen rower and can often be found training in Bristol harbour and competing further afield around the South West coast in a traditional Cornish Pilot Gig.

      Louis Gordon
      Louis grew up in Stoke Bishop and returned after university starting work as an estate agent at a corporate agency in Westbury-on-Trym. After serving his 'apprenticeship' he joined the team early in 2016 and is predominantly to be found in our Stoke Lane office. Louis has excellent local knowledge and provides extremely high levels of customer service. Louis still lives in the BS9 area and is renovating his first house.

      Georgina Hodge
      Georgina has been with us since day one and is the longest suffering member of the team! Henleaze based she works part time for us whilst expertly balancing the demands of two growing children and a very hectic social life. Georgina manages our sales progression and with around 20 years experience in agency many sales have gone through because of Georgina's knowledge, diplomacy and professional approach. The most qualified of all of us Georgina completed her degree in Estate management at the Royal Agricultural College and is a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents

      Julie O'Donnell
      Julie joined us in 2008 and works part time in both our Clifton and Westbury offices. With over 25 years estate agency experience Julie ensures our admin systems are in place and our paperwork is up-together. Or more simply she is the glue that holds us together. A BS9 mum her spare time revolves around the family, walking the dog, fine dining and holidays abroad

      Sandra is a bit camera shy but is another of our valued part time team having covered the Clifton office on a Saturday for most of the last decade and helping out on two other afternoons a week in Westbury and Clifton. Sandra lives in BS9 and knows the area like the back of her hand. When not working Sandra enjoys walking and trips away travelling around Europe.

        The comments below have been taken from an independent review website or notes of thanks we receive from both sellers and buyers. We update them from time to time.

        We strive to provide a professional, knowledgeable, personal and friendly service to our clients (the sellers) and our buyers (our prospective future clients). Some sales go through with no associated problems and the process is straightforward for seller and buyer.

        Not every sale progresses this way however and we occasionally have to have challenging conversations with both seller and buyer to establish a way forwards. If both parties are reasonable in their approach then we can usually find a mutually acceptable route forwards. Our many years of experience and diplomacy can often be the difference between a successful conclusion and a fallen sale. Not all agents have this experience or skill set in their armoury.

        Some sales do fall through despite the effort put in by the agent. It is not uncommon to see the frustration of the sale falling through directed at the agent who is ultimately not one of the two parties who make the decisions.
