    We bring you great quality professional tenants through our relocation services as well as through our thorough marketing of your property.     You may be wondering why we are have two names. Simple explanation, we started life providing a professional relocation service for Doctors, hence the Medics. Over the years our client base has grown to encompass all professionals, hence the change of name to On the Move.

    From the moment you meet 'the team' we hope you'll notice the difference. On the Move isn't a conventional letting agency, we started life finding homes for medics moving around the country, this grew to managing properties for people who we'd found homes for, then to the people they recommended us to. We don't have a shop front which, in 8 years of trading, hasn't held us back.

    Our tenants are all professional people who work in many walks of life, including medicine, education and law. Because we work directly with a number of companies, organisations and institutions, we don't need to be on the high street. We still have a professional office set up and we are based in Redland and you're always welcome to visit us.

    Trevor Bamford, a wise head on old shoulders
    You wouldn't always think it but Trevor is the senior member of the team - he certainly doesn't act like it! Here's how Trevor describes himself: "Hi, I'm Trevor and I'm the one who adds a bit of gravitas to the whole operation. My history includes the Merchant Navy and four years seeing much of the world then thirty nine years in the construction industry, so as you've probably guessed, I'm no spring chicken. I have been a landlord in Bristol since the 1990's so I have a thorough understanding of the frustrations that come from both sides of the letting business. Understanding what can go wrong and knowing how to put it right efficiently and effectively helps us avoid some of the pitfalls. I am involved in the business on a daily basis providing my own brand of wisdom and charm. I'm a real stickler for old fashioned courtesy and customer care is an absolute priority for me, as it is for us all. We want your experience with us to be pleasant and professional".

    Caroline Hannawin, Operations Director 
    Caroline  is a qualified professional with more energy than you can shake a stick at, when not holidaying or visiting friends around the country, she joins us in the office, but let caro tell you all about herself, "Hello I'm Caroline. I studied French and Spanish with European Studies at University in Bristol achieving a BA(Hons), like many people who study here, I loved Bristol so much that I stayed and have been here now for the past 14 years. Having worked in the property industry for 10 years in both lettings and sales, I really do understand the pressures that letting property and moving home can have on people, from both a tenant and landlords point of view. My role as operations director of the business is to develop the service we offer to both landlords and tenants. There is a tremendous sense of achievement when we bring two parties together and help both achieve a successful conclusion. I feel very settled, both at On the Move and when I'm not working, I enjoy reading and planning my next adventure abroad".

    Rachel Wells, Property Manager
    Rachel is the quiet one in the office, but don't be fooled! She's a stickler for accuracy and systems and quite scary, unless you're a landlord or tenant. Here's what Rachel has to say about herself, "Hi I'm Rachel and I joined Caroline and Trevor after my family and I moved back to Bristol following a spell abroad. I feel I've really come back to my roots; I was born in Bristol, lived in Frampton Cotterell and went to School in Bath which all means I have a good knowledge of Bristol/Bath and the surrounding areas. My work life has been varied, but always within the area of customer service, this includes seven years with a national house builder looking after defects in new build properties, which gave me a comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry. Having experienced relocation first hand, I feel I have a greater understanding of the stress and pressure it creates. I aim to put this experience to good use for our On the Move clients.

    Ciya Cakar - Property Administrator
    Ciya may be the youngest member of the team, but she keeps the team in order, which is why her desk is slightly raised above the rest of us. "Hi, I'm Ciya, I just love being part of this team, every day brings something new. My qualifications are linked to administration, but I recently started to study for a Guild of Letting and Management Diploma, which is teaching me lots about the industry and the legalities of lettings which is quite a complex subject. Since joining the team I have discovered that I enjoy helping people so I think I found the perfect job for me. I'm pretty bossy in the office too but at least I help keep Trevor and Rachel in their place".

    This is where it gets hard, its great writing about everyone else, but when it comes to me....my role is communications and marketing and I just love being part of this lively, professional and totally committed team. I have a particular understanding of the property environment as I specialise in Community Engagement for Planning Applications and property marketing. I've worked on some of the best new homes developments of the last decade, Bridge House, Printworks, The Refinery and Robinson Building and The Eye to name a few.     Our office is Bristol based, but we are so fortunate that at least one of us lives in each of the three counties listed above.

    Bristol is one of the most popular, attractive and historic cities in England. It's a fact that more University students stay in Bristol than almost any other major city. It's the gateway to the West Country, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall  are all in easy reach. Commuting is made easy through key motorways (M32, M4,5, & 49) and fast rail links from Temple Meads (soon be be super fast) and South Gloucestershire's Parkway station to all major cities across the UK. For those who travel abroad for work and leisure Bristol International Airport offer a myriad of destinations all over the world. 


    But Bristol is more than its location, it has soul and  a great vibe; arts and music thrive here, our positive history is cherished and well represented and commerce is alive and well. We were the one City that voted in an independent Mayor in 2012 - so now we have someone to really champion our City and help it grow even more successful.
