    The company was founded in 1984 and since that time has continued to be Rushden's Longest Serving Estate Agency with over 40 years experience, which is unequalled in the town and is still a family owned and operated concern. As of the 1st February 2001, the company amalgamated with Messrs Cooper Beard Property Services, of Bedford, who are regarded as one of Bedford's leading Estate Agents, having opened in 1986. Mike Neville Estate Agents are managed and run by James Coles, who has worked for the company since 1996, his whole professional career, assisted by Assistant Branch Manager Chris Brett, who joined the company in 2003.

    Unlike many other estate agencies we don't rely solely on computers but use traditional sales methods alongside modern technology, so we can give any property maximum exposure via the internet, local press and mailing lists with quality colour sales particulars incorporating 3D floor plans, without taking out the human element and therefore match suitable buyers with properties and achieve the best possible price in the least amount of time.

    Residential Lettings Department

    In 2001 a  lettings department was introduced (after the company amalgamated with Messrs Cooper Beard Property Services), with the introduction of Mike Neville Property Management. The department has grown from strength to strength and we now manage over 350 properties in the local area, with many more adding to our register every month. In addition to this, we also provide a block management service, which has proved very successful throughout our company.

    As per the sales department, there are many advertising means that are used. Some of which are extensive wall and window displays, regular advertising in the local newspapers, full internet advertising via our own website and the leading property portals, and obviously via further details obtained from within the office. Again, 3D floorplans are provided along with photographs and a property description.

    In September 2004, after 20 years in Church Street, we relocated to our large and very visual offices at Neville House, 67 Wellingborough Road, Rushden on the corner of St Mary's Avenue, where we can offer a superb office base for our vendor/landlord clients to market their properties and for purchasers and tenants to come and find their ideal home/property. We are able to offer employee and customer parking at our premises, which again, most other agents in the local area cannot offer. 

    The offices have been refurbished in 2017 and once inside the main premises, we have the main reception area where clients are able to sit down and relax, whilst studying our map wall of Rushden & surrounding villages. After which clients are able to move into the residential sales, land and new homes department, or into the residential lettings/property management department, where there will always be somebody experienced to offer help and advice.

    Full members of The Property Ombudsman

    The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers or landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK. The Ombudsman is totally independent of agents and reports directly to the TPO Council which has a majority of non-industry members. 

    The Ombudsman's role is to reach a resolution of unresolved disputes in full and final settlement and, where appropriate, he will make an appropriate award of financial compensation or other action for example make an apology. Therefore, if you feel that you have been disadvantaged by the actions or inactions of a TPO member, you have access to an independent dispute resolution service and can be certain of receiving a fair and reasonable judgement of your complaint.

    James Coles - Branch Manager
    Having started for the company in 1996 very much as a tea maker and Office Junior, James has progressed through the company and has been Office Manager since 2001. From 1996 - 2001 James was given training and gained extensive experience that was second to none from Mike Neville himself ! 

     Having been brought up in Rushden until the age of 5, then moving to Higham Ferrers where he has remained for the past 34 years, James' passion for Estate Agency does not go unnoticed, with clients often knocking on the office window late at night telling him to go home ! Outside of work James enjoys spending time with his family, walking labradoodle Peso and running around after his son Benjie, also helping train the under 11's football team at Rushden and Higham United. 

    James has many duties, which include overseeing the duties of the other staff members, carrying out Market Appraisals and organising New Instructions. In addition to all every day activities such as sales progression, viewings and agreeing sales. Having been at the company for such a long time now, James has collated a vast portfolio of property contacts and has a wealth of experience with regards to market trends, local areas, property values etc. If you need advice or your property sold for the best price then call James or one of his team.

    Chris Brett - Assistant Branch Manager
    Chris joined the company in September 2003 as an Office Junior. Since then, Chris has worked his way up through varying roles, and is now the Assistant Branch Manager for this office, as well as leading other projects throughout our offices within the Beard Group. 

    Chris' main aspects at the Rushden office are carrying out Market Appraisals and organising New Instructions, arranging and carrying out viewing appointments, generating offers, agreeing sales and sales progression.

    In addition to this, Chris is In charge of our social media pages, overseeing the activity levels on the property portals and websites that we advertise on, along with heading up newspaper and additional advertising and marketing. 

    Chris takes up a similar role within the Beard Group along with other colleagues throughout our various offices. 

    Proving to be an exceptional and long standing employee, having gained a great deal of experience dealing with all types of property, marketing and industry related aspects. 

    Outside of work, Chris has lived in the area for a long time also, enjoys playing football on a weekly basis, going to the gym, running and socialising.

    Daniel Willoughby - Senior Negotiator
    Daniel has been involved with the Beard Group since 2011 having begun his career at Cooper Beard Estate Agents in Bedford, undertaking various roles within estate agency, gaining experience and knowledge in dealing with all types of property, marketing and industry related aspects. A home move in 2016 prompted a move to the Mike Neville team, and he has not looked back. 

    Within the office, Daniel carries out various roles, starting from when you arrange to view a property, all the way to the moment you pick up the keys to your new front door. 

    Daniel prides himself on being an approachable person and always aims to ensure high levels of service in whatever he does, helping to make sure your sale and purchase are as stress free as possible. 

     Outside of work Daniel enjoys DIY, cycling, rugby and spending time with his family.

    Kayleigh Reed - Residential Sales
    Local to the area for nearly 30 years now, when the opportunity arose in mid-2017 to join the company, Kayleigh did not hesitate and has not looked back since! 

    After many years of interest in the housing industry, this was the perfect time to start a new career. 

    Within the office Kayleigh is head of our administrationdepartment and carries out regular property viewings also. 

     Outside of work Kayleigh is kept busy looking after her two young children Charlie and Bella.
