Chard is a pleasant market town, famous as the birthplace of power flight. It is situated in South Somerset, close to the Devon border and surrounded by attractive hilly country, some of which is designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty.
The regional centres of Exeter, Taunton and Yeovil are easily accessible. The A303 and M5 are close by giving access to London, the South West and regional airports.
