On the sales side, Partners, Bruce Shaw and Tom Mason head up the residential sales and Director Nick Hutton runs the lettings side of the business. * Do we have to pay extra for accompanied viewings?

No. Our fee is inclusive and all our services that are included will be set out in our terms of contract letter sent to you prior to marketing so you can be clear of your costs. We are more than happy to accompany potential purchasers over your property and will be agreed in advance and accompanied by an experienced member of our sales team. We are always available outside office hours for appointments if required.

Whilst we do not sell mortgages or any other financial products we can recommend a local expert that will assist in securing competitive rates of funding for a purchase.

Buying a house is one of the biggest financial decisions that anybody will make in life. It can be a lengthy and complicated process. Our partners at Ignite Financial Services Ltd can provide you with suitable advice and will assist in making the home buying process as easy and stress free as is possible.

We can arrange appointments with Ignite at their office in Epsom or alternatively at your home, your place of work or at one of our four offices. Ignite advisors are available 7 days a week until 9pm for your convenience.

If a property search is just starting or is on-going, the first meeting will outline the process of buying a house and most importantly establish your budget and the maximum purchase price. Whether you are first time buyer, buying your next home, remortgaging or buying for investment Ignite can guide you through the financial process with access to 100's of competitive products.

Following your meeting with Ignite an Agreement To Lend in Principle will be sourced which will give confidence to both a prospective purchaser and a seller of your financial ability to proceed.

Introduction

Bruce Shaw BSc (Hons) MRICS - Senior Partner

Bruce first became involved in estate agency in 1986 joining Osenton Lamden in Ashtead village. Bruce then returned to further education after which he worked for a period in London's West End qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) in 1994. In 1996 Bruce decided to work local to home and returned to residential agency with Patrick Gardner & Co and became a full Partner of the firm in 1998.

Bruce is an RICS Registered Valuer and undertakes 'Red Book' Valuations for Inheritance Tax purposes, Capital Gains Tax Valuations and Valuations for Matrimonial purposes. Bruce is also able to advise on development opportunities and has been involved in a number of schemes ranging from single unit sites to multiple unit sites.

Bruce has lived most of his life in Ashtead and has two older children. In his spare time he enjoys wine tasting and gardening and when he has time, indulges in his passion for fly fishing for trout and salmon.

Tom Mason MNAEA - Partner

Now in his 18th year with Patrick Gardner Residential, Tom manages the experienced and successful residential sales team in Leatherhead office. Tom has extensive local knowledge and prides himself on providing the highest standards of personal service. Educated at St John's School, he now also lives in Leatherhead. Whilst Tom enjoys travelling, his main passions are outdoor sports, particularly snow skiing, he is also an enthusiastic golfer and most recently has taken up scuba diving.

Andrew Dronfield MNAEA - Senior Negotiator

After 35 years in estate agency, beginning in Cheshire, then in London and now here in Surrey, Andrew has worked for both corporate and independent estate agents. He has a wealth of local knowledge having worked in Leatherhead for almost 10 years. He still gets great enjoyment from helping both vendors and purchasers alike and thrives on the day to day challenges that the job brings. Living in Westhumble village, Andrew now has a little more leisure time as his children are now independent and enjoys cycling and can be regularly seen cycling into Leatherhead and around Box Hill.

Having lived in Mole Valley all her life and having worked for Patrick Gardner Residential since the very first day the firm opened, Cathy has extensive experience of the business. Cathy worked initially as Patrick's personal assistant (previously working with Patrick for Osenton Lamden Estate Agents) and is now a crucial member of the Leatherhead sales team in addition to overseeing the majority of the firm's administrative needs.Cathy is married to Douglas (Partner at our Bookham office) and has a daughter Jenny. Having enjoyed a varied career in media and publishing Vari decided a change of direction was called for after the birth of her second child Grace.
