    Feedback After Every Viewing

    We're one of the few local estate agents who make effective use of open houses and launch days. These are funded, organised and run by our team and often generate a high amount of interest in one day, which could potentially lead to offers in excess of the guide price.

    In today's world most people look for a home online and your property will be shown on www.rightmove.co.uk, www.onthemarket.com and our own website www.paulmasonassociates.co.uk. Many of our properties are displayed on Rightmove as Premium Listings. These are designed to stand out from normal listings and Rightmove's own statistics prove properties that are displayed in this way secure higher levels of enquiries from potential buyers.

    Accompanied Viewings

    We are happy to accompany all viewings as part of our bespoke service which we can tailor to suit your own needs or requirements. We are here to make the whole process as smooth as possible and having an experienced member of staff conduct the viewings can often help to do this.

    Qualify Your Buyer

    It is vitally important to make sure that your potential purchaser has been fully qualified in terms their ability to proceed. This could be checking that their mortgage has been agreed in principle, requesting proof of funding from 'cash buyers', checking that deposit monies are available or verifying the purchasers chain by speaking to agents or lawyers involved. If this is not done correctly it could potentially cost you time and money should the sale fall though.

    Regular Sales Progress

    We are experienced in the conveyancing process and we will regularly chase solicitors, brokers, buyers and the property chain to effect a smooth transaction, keeping you informed and updated every step of the way.     Competitive Fees

    What's a reasonable fee for handling the sale of your home? There are agents who will charge lower fees than Paul Mason Associates, and others that will charge more. We always ensure that our commission rates are competitive yet still offer a quality service to our clients at a fair price.

    Unlike some agents we do not charge upfront fees to market your property. We work on a percentage of the sale price, meaning the more we achieve for your property the more we earn ourselves.

    Communication

    We will always return your calls, messages and emails promptly. You will also be provided with our mobile telephone numbers should you require any assistance and need to speak to us out of office hours.

    EPC & Floor Plans

    We use selected and qualified Energy Assessors who can conduct the required Energy Performance Certificate for your home. They will also produce professionally drawn floorplans to use within our marketing material. We have carefully selected the right people because we know you will be comfortable with them in your home.

    Low Key Marketing

    As well as high profile property marketing, we offer a more discreet low ley service should this be required. This service is bespoke and tailored to your own individual needs. We are able to find the best buyers and secure the best prices whilst preserving confidentiality.

    Peace Of Mind

    We are members of The Property Ombudsman Scheme, an independent arbitration service, who are there to support you and give assistance in the unlikely event of a problem arising which we are unable to resolve to your satisfaction.

    Paul Mason - Director
    Having started my career over twenty years ago as an office junior, I quickly worked my way up to management within the industry for independent and corporate estate agents. I have negotiated sales on residential properties, development land and new homes sites during this time for private individuals, as well as some of the leaders in the new home industry. 

    My focus and goal was to start up my own estate agency business, which was realised in 2008 and to use the experience in both corporate and independent estate agents to provide a successful combination of both types of businesses. 

    Paul Mason Associates was created to provide clients with a personal, efficient, professional service which has been continued by a dedicated and expanding team in all areas of the property sector. 

    Outside of my working life I am a family man with a 17 year son Alfie, who I enjoy watching play football at the weekends and taking him to watch his favourite team Tottenham Hotspurs. My other interests including cooking, dining out and socialising.

    Shaun Halliday - Associate Director
    I first started in the property industry in 1998, working alongside Paul! I have extensive knowledge of the local area and a wealth of experience having dealt with property sales for the last 20+ years, within Chelmsford and the surrounding villages. Paul and I have built the company since opening in 2008 and understand what it takes to offer the personal and professional service clients are looking for. 

    I currently live in Great Leighs and I am a keen Sheffield United supporter, mainly for the glory. In my spare time enjoy keeping fit and spending quality time with friends and family.

    I joined the team at Paul Mason Associates in the summer of 2018 and could not have made a better decision. 

    I have a passion for houses and I am keen to progress my career in the industry. I enjoy meeting new clients and strive to change people's general perception of 'a typical Estate Agent' with my personal approach. 

    I enjoy most parts of the job, with my favourite aspects including accompanying viewings, especially when it results in a sale being agreed and then seeing it through to completion. 

    I have a keen interest in horses and art, including painting canvases and taking photos. I also love to socialise with my friends and family.

    I have been working at Paul Mason Associates for many years and thoroughly enjoy working here. 

    My main day to day role is dealing with properties that are currently under offer, which involves progressing the sale once it has been agreed by liaising with all parties and keeping everyone up to date, to ensure everything is progressing as it should be. This helps to make the process as stress free as possible for all involved and is a role I find very satisfying. 

    In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising and taking my three dogs for long walks.

    Gary Townsend BSc (Hons) - Property Consulatant
    I started my career in the bullion markets in the City of London as this was closely aligned to my degree. 

    However, my real passion was for property, so approximately 20 years ago I made the leap into estate agency. I was a branch manager of an independent agency that covered Great Notley and surrounding villages, and prior to that I worked at Savills in both their Bishops Stortford and Chelmsford offices. This is where I first worked alongside Paul. 

    Having always held the same professional values as Paul, I have joined the team to further expand our reach across Essex, focusing on the towns and villages to the North and West of Chelmsford. 

    I currently live in Writtle, and away from the office I can often be seen cycling the lanes across Essex (excellent for house spotting!), plus playing golf and snooker. I have two boys, who keep me very busy with their sporting commitments throughout the county, including playing for Writtle Minors FC.
