    Our valuers are very knowledgeable and experienced about the local market.

    The market appraisal usually takes about an hour. The valuer will explain our different fee options which can include everything from advertising to the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

    You will be shown samples of our marketing including our brochures, photography and floorplans.

    Ready to go to Market?

    Once ready to come to the market we would revisit your home to prepare a draft brochure for you to approve along with a large selection of interior and exterior photographs. We would discuss our marketing campaign with you. Quite often our sales staff will pop out as well so they are more familiar with your home when talking to buyers.

    Your home will feature on numerous property websites including our own brand new website launched March 2018, plus of course www.rightmove.co.uk and www.onthemarket.com

    Viewings can be accompanied by our staff if you are busy at work or would just rather leave the selling to us. After every viewing we will aim to gather as much feedback for you, good or bad to help with the sale.

    For empty properties we can be key holders, visiting the property regularly and checking it is in order. We are happy to organise maintenance and repairs for you if necessary.

    Getting an Offer:

    When we get an offer for your home we will negotiate with you and the buyer to agree a sale and to qualify the purchasing position of the buyer. We will use our negotiation skills to achieve the best price possible and select the most suitable buyer by the fairest means.

    Monitoring the Sale:

    After agreeing a sale we will use our skills to monitor the sale through to the day of completion and the key hand over. On average in the U.K. 1 in 4 sales unfortunately fall through before they reach exchange of contracts but by closely looking after the sale and sorting out any problems that may arise with for example the survey, we are able to reduce this figure considerably saving time and hopefully creating a stress free move.

    Alistair has been in the property business for 13 years, having joined the company in 2004 as a trainee negotiator, and has moved through the business now acting as a director based at the Mansfield Branch. Alistair has a wealth of experience having previously worked at both the Bingham and Newark offices before taking the helm at Mansfield in January 2012. He is a knowledgeable and trusted Valuer citing his attention to detail as being integral to his success. Alistair also specialises in the sale of development land and new homes forming strong relationships with both local and national house builders. In his spare time Alistair plays at Notts Golf Club (Hollinwell) and always manages to bump into a client or two on the course which he enjoys.

    Kirsty Morley Office Manager
    Kirsty joined the Mansfield office in 2017 to take the position of Office Manager, bringing with her almost 10 years' experience in the local property market. Building relationships with vendors and buyers is of particular importance to Kirsty as she handles the negotiations side of selling homes, citing communication as being her key attribute. Kirsty bought her house in 2014 with its fame being a deciding factor. It was once featured on Channel 4's popular programme 'Come Dine With Me'.

    Ben joined the sales team at the Mansfield branch of Richard Watkinson & Partners in 2013. He enjoys customer communications and always strives to provide outstanding customer service. His enthusiasm for the job and his understanding of Nottinghamshire's property market has enabled him to progress through the business. Having previously worked in the office as a sales negotiator he is now utilising his experience and industry knowledge in his role as Branch Valuer. Ben was once the fastest swimmer in the country for the 100 metre breaststroke and swam competitively across the UK for almost 10 years.

    Clare joined Richard Watkinson & Partners in 2007. Clare is fully committed to her role as a sales negotiator and particularly enjoys the feeling when offers are accepted having dealt with the clients from the start of their journey. Clare is no stranger to moving house herself having relocated 11 times. She is originally from Kent but is now very settled in Nottinghamshire having lived in various places in between over the years.
