Managing Director, Mark A. Smith has over 30 years experience in Estate Agency and has been with the company since 2003. This knowledge has been invested into the offices throughout the Tees Valley, and have, over the last 20 years developed an experienced sales team which has a proven track record in selling and lettings properties throughout the area.

Mark A. Smith FNAEA MARLA - Managing Director

I have worked as an Estate Agent since 1994 and I am accredited to NAEA and ARLA. Since 2003 I have been working for the company as a Senior Manager/Valuer mainly at our Stockton office, which is now our Head Office. Many highlights over the years and some amazing properties but equally met thousands of great people and helped them along their property journey. I have even appeared in 'Homes Under the Hammer' back in 2004.On 15 October 2021, I was part of the takeover of the business and am now very proud to be Managing Director where we have offices covering across the Tees Valley in Stockton, Middlesbrough, Ingleby Barwick, Darlington & Hartlepool. I am supported by an amazing team of people. On 24 November 2023 Robinsons Tees Valley was re-branded to Smith & Friends Estate Agents, the new brand I feel is fresh and dynamic which compliments my approach to business. Having seen changes in legislation, technology and not to mention the economic climate in the last 29 years, I have seen various peaks and troughs in the property industry over the years but that invaluable experience stands my team in good stead to be the agent of choice in all markets. The company is going to grow as we expand across the Tees Valley in the coming years. Our vision is to provide a sustainable and engaging Estate Agency that helps vendors, landlords, buyers and tenants with their property journey. In addition our Mortgage team and excellent relationships with local solicitors make our business the complete property service. Away from the business I love sport - football, golf and F1 are my passions and I am also an F.A. qualified coach and coach my youngest sons football team at Billingham Juniors F.C. Dedication and Loyalty are 2 of my qualities and this is demonstrated not only in my work life but also in my hobbies. I am avid Boro fan and have had a season ticket for over 37 years, I am also a member my local golf course at Billingham Golf Club.

I joined the company in June 2007 as a sales negotiator at the Stockton office, I was part of a very successful team winning awards for my role. In October 2021 I was then promoted as joint office manager with my colleague Lindsey Nicholson.Through hard work and dedication my confidence has grown from strength to strength.I pride myself on great customer service and have built strong relationships with clients over the years.In my spare time I have a passion for baking and travelling around Spain.

Jaynie Dolan - Sales Negotiator

I started working for the company almost 10 years ago as an apprentice negotiator. In 2016 I took an interest in Lettings, so I developed my skills and undertook the role within Property Management. In 2017 I was moved to the Stockton Branch to help manage over 180 rental properties for our Landlords. In 2021 I furthered my skills and decided that I wanted to be more involved in the sales side of our business and since progressed to a Senior Sales Negotiator. By doing this, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in both areas which is very useful dealing with new Landlords. I also love dealing with buyers and Vendors helping them with their moving journey. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, having recently taken an extended holiday to explore Canada and America.
