    In 2012, Symonds Reading Lettings was formed and it is with a huge amount of pride that this grown beyond all expectation with so many previous sales clients coming back us and effectively saying "at last". 

    We believe that the reason for this is that we treat all clients fairly and are not happy with taking the easy option of just spending the landlords money when, with a bit of time and patience, other options are often viable and cost effective. As a landlord of Symonds Reading you don't deal with one of ten (sometimes more) different people and with this a strong client/agent bond is built and a better level of service and understanding is provided.

    I have been working in estate agency since 2006. Starting at a local independent as a junior and working my way up to a managers role in the 8 years I was there. I started at Symonds Reading in November 2013 and am proud to work with such a strong team. Having been in sales for all my working life I feel people appreciate the more personal approach and therefore try and cater to my clients different needs. Outside of work I enjoy spending with my wife and 2 children. I have a close circle of friends that I also enjoy unwinding with if possible on a golf course or in the pub.

      Phil visited me on the day of my enquiry ,we agreed for Symonds Reading to let my bungalow. It was online one day later and let for the full asking price on that same day.       Stressful times - as moving and settling down can be - were turned into pleasure for me as I was lucky enough to be renting through Symonds Reading, and had Steve Boone in particular as my point of contact throughout the tenancy. Steve is always there for you, he is very much down to Earth and very approachable. He will treat you as family. I never had to worry or stress about anything - he was always there to promptly sort out any issues in the best possible way. He is a very professional person who does his job with a passion. No one can ask him anything 'too small' or 'too silly' of a question! If I had my own property, I would definitely trust it with Steve in all aspects. He not only cares truly for customer satisfaction but keeps the well maintenance of a property at heart. All in all, I never had such a wonderful experience with a letting agency before, and I can only hope I'll meet people like Steve on my path to follow.

      Symonds Reading is the longest continuously run independent estate agency within the Worthing area, having been established in 1924 as Symonds & Co, and then Symonds Reading in 1972 when Barry Reading joined the partnership.

      During the 1980's Jim Morl and Peter Webb joined as partners and opened their second office in Ferring. This soon established itself, embracing village life, which enabled Symonds Reading to offer comprehensive sales and lettings from Lancing to Ferring.

      More recently in 2000 Ian Ward joined the partnership soon followed by Jo Ward. This dynamic husband and wife team took full control of the company in 2007 with Ian as sales director and Jo as financial director determined to maintain and grow the reputation of Symonds Reading. Their passion for the area, living locally and raising their family, and their commitment to the many charities locally have enhanced the strong community spirit of this family run estate agents.

        Steve and the team were absolutely brilliant and gave a really personalised service. Within 2 days of our initial meeting we had our house online with lovely professional photos. They organised viewings for us at our convenience and kept in touch without pressuring. They could not have been more helpful. Steve had much more knowledge than the two other estate agents we also enquired with, especially when it came to marketing the property and also the price to put the house on the market for. We got the asking price and accepted an offer 4 days after putting the house on the market to buyers from London, which shows the great connections they have as a company. Although principally employed to represent the vendor - we felt they were also sympathetic to our needs as buyers. They supplied genuine and honest responses to queries and questions (as opposed to the usual estate agent rhetoric) and were always quick to respond to phone calls and emails. When our agent (Steve Boone) went on holiday we were informed that we would be assigned a secondary agent in the interim (Angela Brockwell). Both individuals were helpful, efficient and made regular efforts to contact us with updates on developments.
