Thornes act for a number of national development companies and land owners with regards to the sale, or acquisition of land within the Dorset and Hampshire areas on both a residential and commercial basis. Our service in this area includes both the acquisition of property and land, including site assembly together with negotiating various rights which may be required.
Planning & Consultancy
Our planning department team acts for local and national companies and gives advice on both the suitability of land for development and the type of development which could be obtained and this includes advice with regard to obtaining planning consent and planning advice on potential land. Our service in this area includes the sale of land by auction or subject to planning permission together with outright sale or making representations to the local authorities with regard to the probability of land to be developed and the negotiation of planning 106 agreements. Our planning advisor in this regard deals with small single garden plots up to large developments schemes for both housing and flats development and “in house applications” can be made where necessary or we work with a number of the well known architectural practises in achieving the planning development required.
Sales of development land can negotiated either by private treaty subject to planning permission and by tender or auction.
