Waite & Co, Otley

Educated at Giggleswick, Mark left school at eighteen after completing his A Levels and moved to Glasgow where he began his career in sales working as a telesales executive. After two years Mark progressed to team leader and moved back to Leeds in 2004 to develop his career. After his return he joined a recruitment company but had a burning desire to enter the property industry. Mark is a well-travelled individual who has experienced life, markets and properties in many different European countries and this enhanced his interest in the property market.

In 2006 he joined a local rental agent to gain some experiences and in 2008 progressed to a City Centre agent where he held the position of manager of property maintenance. In 2009 Mark joined the rental division at our Waite & Co, Horsforth Office as a senior lettings negotiator/valuer and within a short space of time progressed to lettings manager and successfully achieved both his MARLA and MNAEA.

In April 2012 Mark briefly left the company to gain invaluable experience of the competitive Harrogate market in order to further strengthen his residential property experience and returned to Waite & Co in January 2013 where he now heads up and successfully manages and values at the Otley Branch. Mark is furthering his property education and is underway with his studies for both property auctioneering and surveying.

Laura is originally from Coventry and left school at 18 after completing her A levels. She joined Connells Estate Agents as a sales negotiator in Coventry. Laura moved to Leeds in 2005 to be with her now husband Sam. Once she had arrived Laura joined an independent estate agent in South Leeds as a sales negotiator. While she was working with that company she carried out her energy assessor training and became a qualified energy assessor in 2007.

Laura was already living in North Leeds and joined Waite & Co in 2007 as sales negotiator. She speedily made her mark and proved her drive and enthusiasm for residential sales, completing her MNAEA in 2008. Laura progressed through the ranks at a pace and became assistant manager of the flag ship office at Horsforth and then soon after was promoted to branch manager of the highly successful Guiseley branch in 2010 where she stayed until she became a proud mum in 2012. Laura is now balancing motherhood and family life with her passion for property and is now working part time at the Otley Office as sales negotiator.
