    We completely understand how stressful renting a new property can be. We also recognise that it is probably a transaction which you know little about and need guidance. We're here to help you every step of the way, making sure your journey to renting your property is as stress-free as possible.

    When registering with us you need to let us know what your criteria is. Long term, short term, pets, close to the station or school etc. This will help us best match you to the properties we have available. For example, not all landlords accept pets but we will do our best to find you a suitable property.

    Once you have found the property you like, we take a holding deposit which secures the property for you. We can then start the referencing process to ensure you can afford the rental commitment.

    Our costs are easily explained below to help with planning and budgets.

    Tenancy Set up fees:
    Single Tenancy £200.00 + VAT
    2 x tenants £300.00 + VAT
    3 x tenants £400.00 + VAT

    Guarantor extra fee of £50.00 + VAT

    Inventory fee's:
    1 Bedroom £75 + VAT
    2 Bedrooms £85 + VAT
    3 Bedrooms £95 + VAT
    4 Bedrooms £125 + VAT
    5 Bedrooms £145 + VAT

    Check ins are undertaken Monday-Friday, Saturday check ins are available but charged at an additional £50.

    All charges are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate

    Steven has spent most of his working life in the property industry and has been in estate agency covering the Surrey and Hampshire area since 2005. Having moved from the Orkney Isles after leaving college he married a local girl, has settled in Farnham and in his spare time he enjoys cycling in the Surrey Hills, exploring the countryside and coaching the local Haslemere under 14 football team.

    Clive's first position in Estate Agency was back in 1975 as office junior and tea boy with a small local independent. 40 years later Clive has seen all the ups and downs of the local property market but according to his partners still makes an excellent cup of tea! Clive's obsession with Estate Agency is combined with obsessions for DIY and gardening, which seem to take up every spare available second. Clive shares his life with his wife and three children and that's not to mention a house full of dogs, a cat, 4 guinea pigs and numerous horses. Clive also wants it mentioned that he is a keen Arsenal fan.

    After 20 years roving the world in the travel industry, including a 12 month posting to Mumbai, Lisa has returned to her roots in Hampshire. Originally from Upton Grey and educated in Odiham, she still worships the sun but with a young family and Bailey the Labrador, the time had come to settle down. Family commitments and dog walking take up much of Lisa's spare time but catching up with old friends is also high on her agenda. Super organised, Lisa heads up our lettings team at Grayshott with tremendous efficiency and charm. The travel industry's loss has been very much WPR's gain.

    Jacob Boorah - Lettings and Sales
    Jacob was born and raised in Surrey moving to Hampshire with his family, where his parents run their family business. He was educated locally at Bohunt School moving on to Alton college. Having previously worked in estate agency within the Haslemere and Liphook area as a trainee negotiator, Jacob now joins the Warren Powell-Richards team in Haslemere. His interest include road cycling and the odd game of golf, and can often be seen on the course perfecting his swing.

    Desmond Parker - Sales Manager
    Desmond trained as a surveyor, but soon found he enjoyed the buzz of selling houses far more than the job of surveying them. Consequently, back in 1979 he threw in the surveying towel and became an estate agent. He has spent the last 35 years practicing in the West Surrey towns of Farnham, Godalming, Grayshott and Haslemere. A member of the NAEA he is married with a son and daughter whom have now left home, so lives quietly with his wife and cat. He has a love of music and visits music festivals including Weyfest and Guilfest. He is also trying to master the guitar and ukulele and in the last few years he has started cycle touring around the UK.

      With origins dating back to 1221 when a hamlet was founded on the shores of a small lake, fed by a natural spring in what is now West Street, Haslemere was formally established in 1394 when it was granted a Charter by King Richard II.

      We completely understand how stressful buying a new property can be. We also recognise that it is probably the most important and expensive transaction you're ever likely to undergo.

      We're here to help you every step of the way, making sure your journey to buying your property is as stress-free as possible. So, to enable you to unravel the complexities of this process, we've set out below a brief overview of the various procedures involved.

      Registration: The first requirement is for you to register your details and property specifications with us. Our database features hundreds of properties and we're sure that with our local knowledge and expertise, we'll be able to find you a property to suit your needs, be it a straightforward move or a 'Buy to Let' investment.

      Viewing: Our offices are open Monday - Friday 9am until 6pm and on Saturday from 9am until 5pm and often later to arrange those all-important viewings of your selected properties.

      Making your offer: Once you have located your ideal property, your offer will be submitted by us to the vendor for their consideration.

      Instructing solicitors: Whether you already have a solicitor in mind, or need a good local recommendation, we can help steer you in the right direction.

      Survey: The next step is to obtain the mortgage valuation. This will be conducted by a Chartered Surveyor acting for your lender. The report is to provide a valuation to determine whether the amount to be loaned is secure and also deals with the basic condition of the property.

      Searches: These are conducted by the buyer's solicitor who submits a local authority search to the local borough council. Its purpose is to ascertain if there is any planning consent previously granted on the property or if there are any other local issues which may have an impact on the purchase.

      Draft contracts: The draft contract is drawn up by the seller's solicitor and is forwarded to the buyer's solicitor for consideration.

      Mortgage offer: The lender is now in possession of the mortgage valuation survey and, subject to the findings of this report, receipt/approval of the mortgage application and provided all references and checks have been conducted satisfactorily, the lender will send a formal mortgage offer to the buyer and their solicitor. The document is then signed and returned and funds requested by the buyer's solicitor.

      Exchange of contracts: Once the contract has been signed by both parties, a deposit (normally a small percentage of the purchase price) is paid by either bank transfer or banker's draft. At this stage, the parties agree on a date for completion.

      Completion: Completion usually follows a few days or weeks after exchange of contracts. The balance of the purchase price is transferred by the buyer's solicitor to the seller's solicitor and the keys released.

      And that's it. But don't worry, we are there every step of the way. We help liaise with the solicitors, brokers and the buyer and seller to ensure everyone knows exactly what's going on, and when you're likely to move.

      Cherie has lived in Fernhurst for many years and absolutely loves living in the countryside with its opportunities for walking her Tibetan Terrier called Pandora. (Pandy for short). Highly active she is keen on interior design and DIY and has spent the last 5 years renovating her home. Cherie works Monday to Friday as a credit controller for a Gaming company but with her love of all things property related we at WPR are lucky enough to have her at weekend as a sales assistant. Holding down two jobs doesn't leave much time for other pursuits but when possible keep fit and boot camp are priorities as is socialising with family and friends.

      Steven has spent most of his working life in sales. Due to a sports injury, his career focus shifted from sport to property and he has worked in the Surrey and Hampshire area since 2001.
