    haart people are members of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA). Formed in the early 1980s, ARLA is the main industry body for lettings agents and lettings agencies in the UK, ensuring member agents adhere to strict codes of practice at all times.

    NALS

    haart is also a member of the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS). NALS is an independent licensing scheme for lettings and management agents, which ensures that all members provide defined standards of customer service, are part of a Client Money Protection Scheme and operate a customer complaints procedure with independent redress.

    SAFEagent

    haart is one of the original supporters of SAFEagent, a Government backed kitemark that denotes firms that protect landlords' and tenants' money through Client Money Protection Schemes.

    The Property Ombudsmen

    haart is a full member of The Property Ombudsmen (TPO). The Property Ombudsmen provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales or lettings agents and consumers who are actual or potential buyers, sellers, landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK.

    Office of Fair Trading

    Ben Norton - Lettings Manager

    Ben joined haart as Lettings Manager in 2009 after a number of years with other estate agents in the town. Since arriving the branch has gone from strength to strength and Ben has collected numerous awards for his achievements.     Andrew Kettle - East Division Property Manager

    I had initially gone with a different Letting agent, but it became apparent after a short time that they were not really interested in my property and therefore after a discussion with Mr Norton I decided to place our property with haart.

    From the beginning Mr Norton and his staff were excellent. They kept me fully informed of any developments and within 4 weeks we had tenants. Throughout this process they have managed the month to month running of the flat and at no time we have had any cause to get involved, as agreed this was a fully managed contract and that's exactly what Mr Norton and his staff have done.

    Both properties are now fully let and we have had no problems with the tenants apart from on one occasion that there was a complaint form a neighbour. This was reported to haart and they dealt with the complaint quickly and diligently, looking after both the interests of myself and the tenants.

    I have, on several occasions, recommended haart to friends and work colleagues who are looking to enter into the Buy to Let Market and would like to have their properties managed.

    Initially the lettings team advised me of the areas that would be suitable and I quickly found a property that suited my needs.

    I then spoke with David Mortell the in house financial advisor who very quickly identified a product that again suited me. David clearly explained the product and completed the necessary documentation in order for me to complete.

    I then met with Ben, Shane and Kev at various stages to market the property and obtain tips to ensure it would appeal to potential tenants. The lettings team at haart are first class and their knowledge of the local area cannot be faulted. During this process the team also identified tenants that would suit my needs for the property, in this case a fairly long term let. The property was let within the first week of it being marketed.

    Due to the ease of the mortgage process and the advice received from the lettings team, I decided to purchase a second investment property. Again I followed the same process. I spoke with the three guys in the lettings team after I had identified a suitable property to get their view. Following another meeting with David, the property was purchased and let within two weeks,.

    Again, due to the ease I purchased my third property a few months later and the property was let out within a couple of weeks. This property was a repossession and the vendor was keen for a quick sale. David managed to get this whole process to completion within just over two weeks. I am convinced that I was able to purchase this property due to his knowledge of the business and the contacts and networks he has built up.

    I now view David, Ben, Shane and Kev more like trusted friends. I think traditionally financial advisors and estate agents have been viewed in a negative light. All staff at haart Peterborough are a credit to their respective service industries. I would definitely use them again in the future and do not hesitate to recommend them to friends and others who see what I have done over the last couple of years.
