Cumbria, with an overall average price of £174,701, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Greater Manchester (£169,063), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£154,138) and Merseyside (£156,298). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Hawkshead (£950,076) and the cheapest was Millom (£96,395).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were similar to the year before and similar to 2008 when they averaged at £171,934.
