Most of the sales in East Sussex over the past year were flats which on average sold for £271,690. Detached properties had an average sold price of £647,174 and terraced properties averaged at £431,679.
East Sussex, with an overall average price of £435,597, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Kent (£429,129) and West Sussex (£447,171), but was cheaper than Surrey (£642,176). The most expensive area within East Sussex was Frant (£1,339,036) and the cheapest was St Leonards Green (£254,796).
In the past year house prices in East Sussex were similar to the year before and 6% up on 2021 when they averaged at £410,827.
