Last year most property sales in East of England involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £394,118. Detached properties sold for an average price of £566,675, while terraced properties fetched £338,354.
East of England, with an overall average price of £401,211 was more expensive than nearby East Midlands (£263,739), but was cheaper than London (£730,885) and South East (£483,360). The priciest area within East of England was Hertfordshire (£536,287) and the least expensive was Norfolk (£306,622).
During the last year, sold prices in East of England were similar to the previous year and 4% up on 2021 when the average house price was £386,239.
