Last year most property sales in London involved flats which sold for on average £568,241. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £846,095, while semi-detached properties fetched £823,451.
London, with an overall average price of £730,885 was more expensive than nearby South East (£483,360), East of England (£401,211) and East Midlands (£263,739). The priciest area within London was Central London (£1,676,476) and the least expensive was East London (£527,736).
During the last year, sold prices in London were similar to the previous year and 9% up on 2021 when the average house price was £672,350.
