North East, with an overall average price of £190,602 was cheaper than nearby North West (£241,636), Yorkshire and the Humber (£237,835) and East Midlands (£263,739). The priciest area within North East was Northumberland (£241,971) and the least expensive was County Durham (£163,701).
During the last year, sold prices in North East were 3% down on the previous year and similar to 2021 when the average house price was £191,007.
