Most of the sales in Northamptonshire over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £264,981. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £130,422 and semi-detached properties averaged at £151,413.

Northamptonshire, with an overall average price of £181,178, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Leicestershire (£174,973), but was more expensive than Nottinghamshire (£149,234) and cheaper than Rutland (£278,298). The most expensive area within Northamptonshire was Yardley Hastings (£571,900) and the cheapest was Corby (£130,108).

In the past year house prices in Northamptonshire were similar to the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £182,641.
