Shropshire, with an overall average price of £200,114 was more expensive than nearby Staffordshire (£175,631) and West Midlands (County) (£178,234), but was cheaper than Worcestershire (£235,821). The most expensive area within Shropshire was Cound (£403,325) and the cheapest was Wellington (£153,882).

In the past year house prices in Shropshire were similar to the year before and 4% up on 2010 when they averaged at £192,459.
