South Wales, with an overall average price of £171,603, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby West Wales (£167,827) and North Wales (£172,704), but was cheaper than Mid Wales (£190,747). The most expensive area within South Wales was Monmouthshire (£256,884) and the cheapest was Blaenau Gwent (£95,316).
In the past year house prices in South Wales were similar to the year before and 7% up on 2014 when they averaged at £160,313.
