Most of the sales in West Sussex over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £697,488. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £433,686 and terraced properties averaged at £361,142.
West Sussex, with an overall average price of £447,171, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby East Sussex (£435,597), but was more expensive than Hampshire (£394,144) and cheaper than Surrey (£642,176). The most expensive area within West Sussex was West Chiltington (£898,015) and the cheapest was Three Bridges (£309,698).
In the past year house prices in West Sussex were similar to the year before and 5% up on 2021 when they averaged at £427,746.
