Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £163,198. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £134,099, while detached properties fetched £291,021.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £182,626, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£181,862), but was more expensive than North East (£158,038) and cheaper than East Midlands (£196,921). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£228,523) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£157,138).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 10% up on 2014 when the average house price was £166,186.
